Hey so… what was that?

Three obviously queer people come into your space and immediately were mistreated.
We started strong by waiting for half an hour before someone noticed us (after someone else seated us and acknowledged us mind you) and after said half an hour, we mentioned it and tell me why the waiter went “oh that is a bummer” AND WALKED AWAY???
Took him another 15 to take our order.
Food came out quickly, was delicious, gave us free Papadam “for our wait”.
Then when we finished, the waiter proceeded to “check on us” twice to ask us if we’d like a box or for a refill. During this time, we waited an hour before he came back to have us pay.
Due to the two hours we spent there (not by choice) I asked if we could get anything off our bill because it was unprofessional… he said, “I gave you the Papadam for free, but okay”.
He only took off the price of our drinks (total of about $6). Due to working food service before, we did give a tip of 20%. Even though we were VERY unhappy, we did tip because we knew that its difficult to be a working food service.
I made this post just to say, if you are going to ignore a table for an hour and a half, pick better people to ignore.
Thank you for your time.

We’ve been wanting to go here for a while and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and pleasing to the eye. The service was friendly but it took a while for the food to come out. By the time we left the place was packed.

Top notch Indian Food! We shared three different dishes and they were all wonderfully seasoned. We asked for HOT and it was HOT! Always a bonus when a restaurant will do that. They have a large beer selection with a few I’ve never ever heard of, too. Double bonus

This has been our go to Indian food spot for a few years now. The food has always been great and consistent. Last week when we ordered dinner and received the food from DoorDash, we noticed the rice dishes were missing the sides of rice. We called the restaurant within 10 minutes of them closing for the evening and was pleasantly surprised that the person who answered the phone was so helpful that he got someone to deliver the rice from the restaurant to our house! We were not expecting this because we placed the order through DoorDash and I know the restaurant does not deliver their food. We were very pleased with the customer service! We will continue to order from Flavor of India!

The food is amazing. I recommend the saag Panner and paneer maknai. The butter naan was cooked very well. We had vegetable pakoda for an appetizer and it tasted just like the ones we make at home. We could’ve just ordered 4 plates of pakoda. The servings were proper with lots of panner. The rooftop is nice and bright which created a wonderful atmosphere. The service was very quick and the waiter was nice and aware.

I really love the food here, so I’m sad to say that Flavor of India is officially OUT of our delivery rotation. I understand mistakes happen occasionally, but unfortunately there’s something wrong with nearly every order.

I am a strict vegetarian and just found a chunk of chicken pakora in my vegetable pakoras (didn’t notice until it was in my mouth… so not cool). The fryers are obviously shared and quality control is lax. Given how important vegetarianism is in India, I expect a lot more consideration. Most Indian restaurants are really good about this.

The problem might be something minor, but there WILL be a problem. For example, you might order two different items that come with chutney but only receive chutney for one item. It might be something big — like an entire entree is missing. Or your chana saag is actually chicken saag — so you’re S.O.L. and have no dinner, or you have to call the restaurant and then drive over to pick up the item you actually ordered.

At one point, I had so many refunds in a row that Flavor of India was flagged on my DoorDash account “for investigation” (whatever that means…).

PRO TIP: The restaurant prefers the Toast app — BUT no one seems to review or respond to issues reported through Toast. You’re better off ordering from DoorDash — at least you can get a refund if something is wrong. The food we order on Toast is actually delivered by DoorDash, so there’s zero difference from the customer’s perspective.

I guess I’ll be driving to Spice Room in Arvada for Indian and sticking with Vegan Thai for delivery from now on. So disappointed to be writing this review!

Stopped in for a meal after a tasty visit to Left Hand Brewery. First time in Longmont from NYC and the community vibe felt great. Our Host and I think the owner mentioned she had collaborated with Left Hand Brewing on a new Beer Flavor. Very Cool!! Very friendly vibe and concern that you enjoy your meal. Quite tasty indeed and we even indulged in the House Pink Drink (YUM with Rose petal garnish) to support Breast Cancer.

Thank U for a wonderful evening Team “Flavor of India”❤️ ❤️

Everything was excellent! Food & environment.

Drinks:
Bottled waters & lemons
Mango lassi

Appetizers:
Garlic cheese naan
Meat samosa

Main dish:
Chicken Tikka Marsala – hot

What I thought about each dish:
I highly recommend the garlic cheese naan, I didn’t expect it to be as good as it was, we ordered 2! Each one comes with 2 pieces. The meat samosas were recommended by the server & I’m glad they were! So good, also the 3 sauces it came with were excellent!! (Green- mint cilantro, white- garlic sauce & brown- tamarind sauce) Chicken tikka Marsala I ordered “hot” it had a great spice to it! If you like spicy I recommend hot, wasn’t too much but was definitely a little spicy (I love hot/spicy food) wouldn’t recommend hot if you aren’t a spicy fan!

Environment & people were nice! Super clean & cute environment as well!

The food was great. Brought my family here for a second visit and ordered quite a bit of food. My aunt ordered the fish curry and it was a little off (smell, taste) were familiar with what fish shouldn’t taste like… we notified the server and someone else came to chat with us in a rude manner. She basically insisted they were not a seafood restaurant. We realize that! Her defence was offensive and did nothing to make light of the situation. We just wanted the staff to be aware so they didn’t serve it to anyone else. This restaurant went from 5-stars for amazing food, decent service to 3-stars tacky customer service. Learn to listen, that’s all.

AVOID GETTING TAKEOUT!!

They missed my gluten free nan bread and my gluten free samosas. Their poor excuse was that they had a new person performing the packing. Maybe that person needs a bit better training. The kids platter was inedible and the chicken is hard as a rock. ALMOST 100 dollars worth of food here.

WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!! I’ll find another place that will appreciate my business.
