Sam & Maggie’s is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants. The seasonal menu keeps things fresh and exciting, and I’ve truly never had a dish I didn’t love. Their seared tuna, duck specials, and scallops are standouts—always beautifully plated and bursting with flavor.
The vibe is coastal casual, clean, and welcoming. It feels like dining with family, thanks to the warm and friendly staff. Their cocktails are creative and delicious, and the desserts are absolutely worth saving room for.
Fresh, thoughtful food, a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, and a family-run charm that makes every visit feel special—I recommend Sam & Maggie’s to everyone I know!

We have been eating at Sam and Maggies since they opened in 2022. The food is extraordinary at prices that you can’t find this kind of food for anywhere, especially in the Baltimore/DC corridor! I am talking about food that is fresh, unique, delicious and lovingly plated. Beyond that the service is excellent, the wait-staff members are kind, attentive and prompt. The whole family pitches in here too from Dad & son chefs, dessert from wife Liz and friendly reservations and hosting by mom! They have treated everyone in our party on every visit like family from Day 1. This is one of our favorite places to eat! And, although we did not know anyone when we started visiting here, we quickly grew to know names, details and receive kindness from everyone we came in contact with. This is truly like “Cheers” where everybody knows your name!
Some reviews on here imply otherwise, but I cannot even IMAGINE being treated poorly here. I was not there this weekend (had to work), but I can say that I have never seen a raised voice or rudeness in ANYONE at Sam and Maggies in the 3 years we have been frequenting the establishment. The venue IS in a busy marina where it is not safe for minors to run around unattended. Water is everywhere and with so many tragedies on the water, I can see where a sense of urgency might be needed to keep parents aware that this is not a venue for running around. I CAN imagine the owners worried about minors wandering off restaurant property into the marina area or dock area and becoming very upset when this had previously been communicated. The restaurant sits on private marina property and does not have the use or expectation of use for marina facilities (although it does have the BEST sunset on the patio!). To label this family as “rude” seems a bit reactionary. It’s OBVIOUS that the restaurant does not allow for wandering as the entire patio is fenced in (customers have to come inside the restaurant to be seated on the patio and leave the same way).

We had an absolutely delicious dinner… Not a drop of food was left! Brought family here and everyone was impressed. Crab cake, pork chop, Branzino and the steak tacos. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Presentation was gorgeous

Have been to Sam & Maggie’s several times in the last few years and love it each time! The quality of food freshly prepared is amazing, the desserts spectacular! I love that they rotate menus so I’m always enjoying their new specialities. A gorgeous weekend sunset on the water tops off the quality food and service! My favorite on Friday was the bluefin and the strawberry tart – delicious and stunning! Sam and Maggie’s if you’re reading this, I’d love for you to consider brunch!

Incredible….. had only heard of this place through word of mouth. Tucked back away from everything at Fairview Marina. Truly a place of food and drink exceptionalism in Pasadena, with the weekly and limited menu you will be amazed with the flavor and palatable passion with which the food is made. With limited hours of operation there is just a sliver of time to enjoy these handcrafted fares so do yourself a favor and make sure you make time for a meal you will not soon forget.

My mom hosted my baby shower at Sam and Maggie’s. All of our guests were SO impressed by the food (taste, presentation), service, drinks and atmosphere. It was a perfect event. My mom said they were extremely accommodating and communicative with her about the menu (everything fresh, vegetarian options etc), event date/time, and helpful with where and how to best set up decorations and tables. The crab cakes, the short ribs, the desserts – everything high quality flavors and presentation.
The fact that Sam and Maggie’s is such a family run business comes through in their food and atmosphere, and being along the water helps too! I highly recommend visiting them for a meal, then going again for another meal and another, or hosting an event- bridal shower, luncheon, baby shower there. They are gem of a an establishment and family.

I selected Sam & Maggie’s to celebrate my fiancée on her birthday, 8/20. What a wonderful place with GREAT people. The food perfectly hit on every note. As much a we loved the food and drinks, the true star was Liz our waitress. She was fantastic! Ask her about her sweet tea!
We were first timers but we absolutely say we plan on becoming regulars. Well worth the trip and plenty of value for your money.

This is exactly what we’ve been looking for in this area! The outdoor space is pristine and welcoming, with a great view of the water but not too close (no issues with bugs, etc.). There was space for our little one to run around without bothering anyone while we waited for food. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food had fantastic and unique flavor combinations, and apparently the menu changes weekly, which is good motivation to come back often. Even the kids meal was carefully thought through and paired, with well seasoned chicken, grilled pineapples, and avocado cream sauce. The brisket tacos were so satisfying, and the light summer dessert finished the evening perfectly. It’s helpful to call and make a reservation, even with short notice, if possible. My only recommendation to management would be to have a permanent alternative side for children’s meals. Chips as the default (and $5 to sub for fries, making the cost of a kids meal essentially the same as our adult meals) doesn’t work for all ages — our toddler can’t eat those. But otherwise, we had such a wonderful dining experience, and can’t wait to come back!
