Sumo Grill is Japanese Hibachi takeout restaurant. We mainly do Togo orders but we do have tables indoors for casual dining. Ours specialty is Hibachi, but we also serve fried rice, soup, salad, popular Japanese appetizers, yaki udon noodles, and katsu. We also have kid’s menu.

You got to get the Steak & Chicken with fried rice. Not white, for the full experience. They serve a pretty healthy portion. And they have 2 different sauces that complement each bite. Add a Coca- cola and you’re in business. Everyone in there is super cool too.

How do you improve on perfection? You cannot. Sumo Grill is our new go-to place in Martinez. As you can see the food is a visual delight and you get LOTS for your money. I love the garlic rice and the Chicken and Pork Katsu is easily 2 servings and everything is delicious. The people who own this place are so sweet and I wish them many years of success.

I had not been to Sumo Grill in a long time was craving it on my way to Jury Duty. I locked my key and phone in my car but had my clicker for my trunk. Cindy was such a big help by climbing in my trunk to unlock my door. I love the garlic and egg fried rice there. Wok hot ! Cindy thank you and your husband for the kindness you both gave to me today.
