First time visiting Argonaut Bar in Tavares and Sharon made the experience amazing. She was incredibly sweet, relatable, funny, and gave excellent customer service. Even though they were out of the liquor we originally wanted, she offered great suggestions and we ended up trying the Sea Devil which was delicious.
The whole place has a cool submarine vibe and felt like a fun little escape and it was Christmas themed at the time of my visit. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the Tavares area.

My husband and I were in town for the night 2 weekends ago and we were walking around exploring the area and we found this little gem of a bar. We intended on just stopping in for 1 drink but we enjoyed the atmosphere so much I think we ended up there for 2 hours and me working my way through the drink menu! Definitely a fun little bar with delicious drinks and excellent, kind service. So glad we stumbled upon it!

My experience was similar to another person’s that posted a negative review a few months ago. I purchased 2 tickets for the November Burlesque show. The show was canceled and I received an email saying we should contact them for a refund. I sent back an email requesting a refund and got no response. I went to the bar on two occasions to request a refund and was promised that the owner would contact me which never happened. Tried to call several times and got “your call can not be completed as dialed” message. I’ve finally filed a dispute on my credit card for the charge for the tickets, I expect that’s my only chance for a refund. Finally, on the first occasion that I visited the bar to see about a refund I did order drinks. They were overpriced and not very good. The design of the bar is very clever, everything else is a big disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone since I’m not the only one that’s been treated this way.

Visiting family in Tavares and was looking for a place to go hang out with another couple in town. Saw the pictures and was intrigued. This place did not disappoint. The location was small and intimate. Service was great and friendly. Be aware that many of the wine cocktails leaned towards the sweet side which the husbands enjoyedI I was very impressed by the Spanish wine + coke mix! Who would have thought this would taste good! I leaned more towards the dry red side and very much enjoyed the quantum leap cab. The appetizers were surprisingly tasty and all seems like they were made fresh. The lighting and jazzy music were fitting and wrested a great atmosphere. This will definitely be the go to place when we come back for another visit.

Overall, pretty chill place. The atmosphere in here was very relaxing and colorful…. Slightly confusing, but I can get down with it. The drinks were unique for sure but a bit pricey. Surprisingly, it was the beer cheese and pretzel bites that won my heart. Service was great and if your in Tavares I definitely suggest stopping by.

If you haven’t been to the Argonaut.. then you haven’t experienced one of the most unique restaurants and bars in Tavares and surrounding areas. The food and drinks are out of this world. The service is top-notch . Keep up the outstanding work

Fantastic service and great drinks! The bartender went out of her way to make our experience very enjoyable. She was engaging and even brought out snacks and something fun for a toddler. Great spot!

Such an amazing little place. Relaxing and quaint atmosphere, delicious share plates and great drinks. We loved the Skull Island Storm, the cheese spread, flat bread pizza and pretzel bites.
