The girls at this smoothie shop are absolutely amazing! Every time I come in, they’re so friendly, upbeat, and genuinely make my day better. They always remember my favorite order and make the smoothies perfectly every time — fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The service is quick, and the positive energy they bring creates such a welcoming vibe. You can tell they really enjoy what they do and care about their customers.

This is a smoothie shop, not a stage for selective attention-seeking behavior.
I walked into this location expecting a clean, professional, health-focused environment, not an atmosphere that felt like a performance. Employees in food-service environments are expected to maintain hygiene, professional attire, and consistent customer service. Athletic or casual wear is fine, but revealing clothing paired with selective, performative behavior crosses a line gives a different type of vibe.
The staff here blurred that line completely. One employee ignored me entirely, only to suddenly become energetic and engaging when a man walked in. This selective friendliness left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. A smoothie shop should promote wellness and professionalism, not distraction or attention-seeking.
I have the choice of where I spend my money, and I won’t be coming back. Management should ensure that employees understand the difference between providing professional customer service and using their workplace as a stage. Had I known this location operated this way, I would not have chosen to spend my money here.

My all time favorite smoothie shop! The girls are always so welcoming and kind from the moment I walk in and they make the best smoothies. Maddi is always there when I come in and makes great recommendations on new smoothies or add in’s I should try. I recommend this place to all my family and friends!

I’ve been going to Emerald City Smoothie for years now in Kent, Tacoma, Puyallup, and more, but this location, specifically, has provided some of my best and most delicious interactions!
Friendly smoothie baristas (I think that’s what the correct term is…), great tasting drinks, quick service, clean establishment, and a decent parking situation out front make this ECS top of the heap for me!

I’ve been a customer here for a little over a year now, and I can’t express how amazing the staff is at this location. My order’s always being made as soon as they see me pulling in, always asking how my day’s going, paying attention to those details and following up on them for the next time I’m in. Goes to show that they’re human and care about their customers instead of providing a robotic and transactional experience.

Came in for a drink and during payment was asked if I had a number with them, I said I don’t, not yet anyways. She hesitates and says I’d sign you up but the system is down, a girl behind her stopped, paused and said “what”? While looking back and forth at the third worker on the line. No one said anything to me after that not even asked about my receipt they just started small talk amongst themselves. Very awkward and unprofessional.
