Roach alert!
DISGUSTING!
We bought some bagels and brought them home for our family. Upon taking the jalapeño bagel out of the bag, we saw a ROACH BAKED into the bagel (see photos). This was so gross.
When I called Bagels & Beyond the woman asked if I could bring it back. We did. She gave us a refund and said the owner wanted us to call. I called the number she provided and it went to the Manahawkin manager. This manager said, ALL of the bagels are made in the same facility. He said flippantly “Sorry, but sometimes this happens. “
This was very disappointing and disgusting. We will never patronize this bagel shop again.

Great place to get fresh bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. They have a nice spread of bagel and cream cheese options. The service was very friendly and prompt. Lines were not long, and they have separate line for call-in orders. Just be prepared with cash, as they don’t accept credit cards. Parking is available on the boulevard outside. We made two trips here during our week vacation in Surf City, and the bagels were a big hit with the family.

This is a great example of a classic new jersey bagel Cafe. I love it. I moved away from NJ years ago but I go back several times each year and one of my favorite things to do is grab breakfast from a place like this.
Tip: get an extra egg on the breakfast sandwiches otherwise it’s too much bread.

I have been coming here for almost 15 years. I’ve had over 100 bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. It used to be two eggs, now it’s a quarter of a egg. Trying to pull a fast one, Not cool. Cheese isn’t melted, barely any bacon.
The toaster they use Is like an accidental toasting. I need purpose. Toast it.
The Bagels and Beyond off the island is way better. I won’t be coming here until they get their BEC cheese act together. Darn right ridiculous!

Best bagels on LBI! Just wish they weren’t cash only. Not a big deal though because they have an ATM on site. I have been getting their bagels every summer for years. Never disliked a single thing. Staff is also super friendly! Pro tip, get there early… lines can be long.
