We are a full service restaurant, bar and brew pub with 12 taps featuring our parent brewery, Monkey Town Brewing Company, located in Dayton, TN (Home of the famous Scopes Monkey Trial). Our beer is available to go in our Monkey Town Brewing 16, 32 & 64 ounce growlers. We offer food selections from burgers to a delicious Ribeye and everything in between. We have a bar side for those that want a more social scene and we have our quiet booth side which of course for quieter, more intimate dining. Come and check us out.

Today was our first time trying this place. My husband got a burger which looked amazing and he said it was delicious. The fries were good too. I got the spinach artichoke dip it was so full of grease it wasn’t even edible. I did try a bite and if it wasn’t for the grease the flavor wasn’t too bad but not great. We really wanted to love this place but we have mixed feelings. We will probably try it again but not for awhile. Definitely try a burger though if you go.

Good comfort food. We ordered Shrimp BLT and Blackened chicken pasta. They were very good. Our server was very friendly and courteous.

Clean place, good quality food more than half the time. Food is priced a bit high for the setting in my opinion, I dropped over $50 plus tip for three meals and no drinks once for take out. (2 salmon and one chicken Alfredo) but the salmon was to die for! There are cheaper items on the menu. I’ve now been here about 12 times. Service is usually good, the brews they make are fantastic, which I will come back for:) Growler pricing was just above average… Including tax, Paid $60 for a 64oz and 2 – 32oz this week. I got to taste most before I filled so that was nice, but normal for a brewery.
But food and service continue to be inconsistent.
4 star because owner will make things right and beer good. But you should not have to go to the owner on a regular basis.

Stopped in while on vacation wanted some local fare. The food was very very good. I had the public house burger wife had the Ruben, both were steaming hot when served. Had a couple monkey town brewing beers, awesome as well. Our waitress and the staff in general were nice. Only critique I would make is for management to help the waitresses on the floor by ensuring that they are familiar with the menu and the “house beers”, from what I learned they are associated with Monkey Town Brewing. Overall had a great meal and some fine brews.

Lasagna was dry (no tomato sauce) and fried pickles were WAY too salty. Philly Chresesteak is still the best in town.

Best burger and cheese steak we’ve had in well over a year. I also liked the fries and onion rings. Sunrise burger didn’t have cheese or bacon on it as ordered. The waitress AND owner promptly took care of it. Next time I’ll try the ribs. Even saw Senator Yeager eating here… now that’s an endorsement in my opinion. 😉

I enjoyed our lunch here this afternoon. The service was very friendly and helpful. All 5 of us got something different and we also tried a few appetizers. Everything that I tried was very good. I loved the french fries, corn nuggets and the spinach dip. I’ll definitely be eating here again. The food was reasonably priced. The bathrooms were clean.

I have been there twice. Heading there now and the food was very good. Not an alaborate menu but so many fresh home-made items that you really can’t go wrong with anything. I have had the Tomato Bisque and Creamy Mushroom soup and both were superb. Service is great. Great place!

Finally talked my husband into trying a new restaurant – and it was kind of a bomb. First off – they sat us in a seat where the sun beat directly into our faces (haven’t gotten shades up yet…but shouldn’t have sat us there???). I asked for my oranges to be off my Asian salad..but they were there anyways (and very mushy) and the portion size of my salad was very small for a 7 dollar salad – basically a small plate of lettuce with some crunchy noodles on it (would have had to have paid extra to get chicken on it); my husband asked for his burger to be cooked medium-rare…it was well done. Service was good; floor looked dirty. But – my daughter ordered some chicken avocado thing and she said it was delicious…so overall kind of disappointed.

Service was great. Food was delicious. We had a Reuben, chicken tenders and chicken salad. Chicken salad had a smoky flavor not the traditional chicken salad but I liked it very much. Homemade chips tasty crispy and not over seasoned. Reuben and tenders were also delish. Will be back to try other entrees.
