This place is an absolute GEM in South San Francisco! With over 10 delicious flavors to choose from, there’s something for everyone: meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans alike. Their pastries are divine, and the coffee is the ideal pairing for a quick breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up. The prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality and portion sizes.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or taking a box to share (trust me, you’ll want to!). 10/10 would recommend!

Nice sized eatery with about 10 bar-stools along a bar that is street side. The service was good. The empanadas were very tasty. I had the mushroom and also the chorizo. Also purchased a “Mil hojas” and a “pasta frola”. All are recommended.

The empanadas are so good and fair price! I had 3 and it was the perfect amount to be full. The pastries omg! The milhojas was DELICIOUS, it tasted like a mini rogel (Rogel its my favorite dessert in argentina and this mil hojas made me so happy) And we also tried the guava + ddl factura, also really good! Highly recommend this place. Aguanten los lugares de comida Argentina que si te hacen acordar a casa 🙂

While driving through South San Francisco this morning I happen to glance at a sign….”Cocina Milonga Argentinian Empanadas”. I parked on the street and made my way into the store, I was greeted immediately with a a big smile by a gentleman behind the service area, I took a look at the menu on the wall and ordered four Empanadas. One Ham and Cheese with Black Forest Ham and Mozzarella Cheese, my second choice was the Chorizo Empanadas with Argentinian Style Chorizo, Provolone Cheese, served with Chimichurri, I also ordered the Fugazzeta filled with Roasted Onions, White Cheddar and Mozzarella Cheese Seasoned with Oregano, and my last choice had to be the Beef Empanada with Ground Beef, Onions Olives, Hard Boiled Egg and Raisins. I had to make room for one of their dessert pastries and ordered the Pastel de Manzana, puff pastry filled with an Apple and Coconut filling. The Mate Cocido had to be ordered to compliment my order from the Barista. I enjoyed the Baked Artisan empanadas (known as turn overs in English) and finished every morsel. During my conversation with the owner he mentioned that they also service the Chase Center at the Portal 30 Pepsi Club. The place was spotless and had a nice view from the window seats with a nice ambiance listening to Argentinian music facing the Alina way. The location is tuck away in the opposite corner across the street from See’s Candies.

I stopped in two days in a row after searching Google for a cafe serving Yerba mate in the area. I also had a blueberry tart, and a mushroom empanada – both reasonably priced, homemade, and delicious.

I was pleasantly surprised to find they also carry a dozen or so brands of loose mate. I bought a bag of the Cosmico brand per their recommendation. Wish I lived closer !

Great empanadas. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Attention to detail.
Kind and friendly people at the helm. Seems like a family run business. Clean and cute interior. Lots of things on display and available for purchase.
Don’t forget to add a small serving of chimichurri to the order – it takes the food to another level!

YUMMMMM Argentina empanadas, local coffee and ingredients, dulce de leche cookies and other great finds for your tastebuds. And everything is made right in the store! What a gem and super adorable storefront! Raul, the owner, was so sweet and hospitable walking me through their menu and everything they sold. You should even ask about the nitro brew, keffer water and kombucha too! Pay them a visit you won’t be disappointed. (PS they have vegetarian/vegan options too!!!

Bomb.com! Take my money!
I have loved these for years, I first had them from another Argentinian cafe/bakery in the East Bay, as they sell wholesale to a couple other bakeries. They are delicious and absolutely stuffed, no half-filled huge air pocket kind here! Chorizo is my all-time favorite! It is awesome that they have a four pack take and bake option!
