I waited 40 minutes for a pretty crappy cheesesteak. I got there around 1:30 on a Monday, the place was not busy at all. I thought I was going to have to go out and feed the meter again. Look at this thing, it looks like they hollowed out a roll and made a boat that held the meat, sauce, and cheese. I’m from the Philly area, I’m kind of appalled. I drove out of my way for this.

Tried out Gus Deraco’s today & ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken Salad (Lg.) Not only was the portion size awesome, but the employees were kind and a breath of fresh air. While waiting for my order, almost every time the phone was answered- the woman behind the counter asked the caller if it was “their usual”. You can definitely tell they have a following & truly care about their patrons. After speaking with the staff to get some history on the restaurant, I learned that Gus’ has been around since 1978 & was located near the farmers market right down the street. Luckily this joint is a short walk from my place, so I will be back! Thank you guys 🙂

Great local cafe and restaurant in downtown Lebanon. The friendly staff and prompt service make it a great option for lunch. I am partial to their Tuna Chef Salad with mixed greens. They feature daily soups pie slices for dessert.

It should be a historical landmark and a wonderful place to eat some of the best sandwiches ever. Just recently I stopped by Gus Deraco’s Italian Sandwich shop and it’s been some time since I was there and I explained to the owners why I was away from there but I stayed and had a nice conversation with the staff and owners and I ate some breakfast and I have to admit that the young man named Julius he made my food and it was out of this world so perfectly made and mouth watering delicious. When Gus was alive, I remember all the time he made me feel like I was worth something and he was the Football coach for The Lebanon Rams back in the day, I think Gus was the coach. I will never forget how Gus would give me some of the best advice and guidance, but I have to admit he made the best sandwiches especially the Ham boats and everything else. If I could tell Gus one simple thing, I would say thank you for guiding me and believing that I was worth something to someone.

I got the chicken tenders & onion rings. I was very disappointed with my food. It was fried to hard & almost burnt. I will not be ordering there again. Others who ordered without group were also dissatisfied with their food as well. Needless we will. Ot be ordering there again.
