Calling this “Japanese” isn’t just misleading, but also downright embarrassing. A menu that contains orange chicken, lo mein, and egg rolls isn’t truly Japanese; it’s basically an iteration of Panda Express with a Japanese name. The teriyaki looked sad, tasted lame, and nothing here has any real Japanese flavor or care behind it.
Being Japanese myself, this was nothing but a letdown and honestly pretty insulting to my culture. It may be fine as mall food if you just want something quick, but if you’re looking for real Japanese food, this is far from it; in fact, you’d be better off actually going to Japan for a 7-Eleven bento or a random train station meal, which are still much better than the un-Japanese slop served here.

So I ordered #2 chicken with fried rice and veggies. Unfortunately the pic and the reality not the same. Pic has broccoli but there is no broccoli in real
Portion is huge. What I appreciated they give lot of veggies portion than rice. Chicken is too oily for me

The menu states their most popular items is the chicken and shrimp combo. I didn’t see any shrimp, maybe because it was so “popular”.
The only options were orange chicken and teriyaki chicken.
I normally like bland food but this was beyond bland. The chicken tasted like metal and the fried rice had no flavor. The noodles were overcooked.
We ended up just throwing it away and getting McDonald’s because we just threw $30 in the trash.
I should have checked the reviews before eating here.
I am not sure how they are still in business.

I came in, not really knowing what I wanted to eat after a long and stressfully packed but good day. I took down the names of the awesome people that day, but can’t find my paper at the moment so I will update this when it shows up. I do have a picture of 2/3 amazing employees who made my day more light and positivity filled….
……as well as flavor to my day!

If you want filling food fast, this could be your spot. Service was as expected. Rice was a vit bland. Chicken was OK. Egg roll was good, best part of the meal.

Out of all of their locations this one at City Creek Mall is the Worst!!! The service was bad and I even had to ask for sauce which at every other location they ask if you want sauce and have a smile and are happy to help the guy at this location had a scowl on his face and seemed annoyed when I had to ask for the sauce. My plate was only half full compared to the other locations as well and worse quality. Also this location is very inconvenient to get to especially if you need an elevator as most of them don’t work or aren’t any going to where you need to go, if you’re in a wheelchair or have anything you need to carry it’s very inconvenient. I won’t be going to this location again even though it is the closest one to my home. I don’t recommend going here unless you have no other choice.
The other 1 star reviews for this location were satisfying to read because others had some of the same experience that I did such as small portions and poor quality. And it’s true that all the other locations give better portion sizes. This location definitely isn’t giving the correct amount for the price it costs.

Great Lunch, had the #1 teriyaki chicken and shrimp with fried rice. Also got the Orange chicken plate. Both were fantastic. Quick service, friendly staff to help us out.

Bento box pictured white rice a California Rolls. I did not get either and the staff seemed rather annoyed that I asked. Chicken was tough, pot stickers were soggy, and egg rolls were cold. Sad I didn’t check the reviews before going, probably the worst place in City Creek.

Service was fast and delicious. Did not take long. My favorite part was they were cooking the steak in front of me while I waited my short period of time, my meal was delicious. Very fulfilling and the fountain drinks are fresh and good here
