This place was perfect for our Valentine’s Day dinner! We didn’t have a reservation, so we sat at the bar, which worked out great. We ordered the special, a grilled NY strip with cheesy potatoes, and it was delicious.

I also tried the pomegranate hibiscus fizz cocktail and the white wine sangria, and both were lovely and generously poured. The atmosphere is casual and cute, making it a really comfortable spot for a date night. We would definitely come back next time we’re in town!

Great food, friendly staff. The atmosphere reminds me of watching an episode of Cheers. The restaurant was full, so it was quite noisy, but we could still have a conversation. They were super packed and let us know before we sat down but our server still managed to make sure we had everything we needed with a steady stream of food coming out to the table. The menu is eclectic. It’s not often you see Shepard’s pie, calamari and pad Thai served in the same place. I had the black bean avocado salad and hubby had the Shepard pie. Had a savory grilled cheese bite as an appetizer. Great food! Definitely eat here!

Don’t let the name fool you… though my memory bank will forever have this restaurant’s name locked in as “Hairy Toe”. I must say that hands down the seating at this bar is like nothing I’ve experienced in my 18 years of the occasionally bellying up to bar… the leather seats were soft, clean including luxuriously high backs with 360 swiveling experience, for those who find it intolerable to sit still. Though some restaurants dish out portions gearing toward the “bigger is always better mentally”, they fail to serve a meal that is appetizing…. This restaurant did not disappoint! I sized up what felt like an eating competition platter to find the meal was delicious!!! Staff never skipped a beat all while maintaining a very pleasant atmosphere! Our bartender was Kalissa, whom greeted us with a smile and friendly banter throughout our dining experience! Will definitely return next time we are in the area!

This is a pretty cool bar/restaurant to spend some time in. I ordered a local beer on tap and the chicken schnitzel. It had a little flavor and was kind of dry. The german potato salad that came with it was the opposite. Bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked potatoes. The vibes inside are very nice as well

We stopped for lunch, and the first thing that took my attention was the amazing historic building the restaurant was housed in. Once inside (note that there’s a step up *right* at the door), there’s a nautical theme that goes nicely with the raw, industrial brick of the building. The atmosphere was nice and calm, though I can imagine the place bustling with college students on a weekend evening. The seating layout is well-designed and comfortable, and toward the back there are bigger booths and a small raised area.

The portion sizes were generous, and everything we tried was very good. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and our food and drinks arrived quickly. I left overstuffed!

Met up with some friends for dinner at this place in Cortland. Great atmosphere, crowded on a Saturday evening. Appetizers we had fried calamari and the brussel sprouts. Both delicious. Sprouts were covered with cranberry pine nut and blue cheese. Yum. Dinner was tacos. Cod and grouper. Fish was light and flaky. Flavorful. Dessert white chocolate macadamia nut cheesecake. Surprisingly light and delicious. Highly recommend. We’ll be back!

I was so impressed by the sizable and VERY shareable portions. The food was delicious as well and service was attentive. The atmosphere is fun and friendly. We will be back!
