Definitely a bad experience. My spouse and I went between lunch and dinner rushes and were the only ones in the restaurant. All four workers were sitting at the bar and it took several minutes to be noticed, then additional time to be seated and our orders taken. Our appetizer was decent, but definitely not worth the cost (we ordered the sampler). Once we received our meals, we were entirely disappointed. The french fries tasted as though they were cooked in old oil (possibly the oil for our appetizer??).
Our experience gets worse, though. We paid in cash and the server did not bring us our change. When we asked for the change, he said he thought it was his tip (mind you the change was approximately $15, which would make his tip a 40% tip!!). I have never experienced a server that immediately took the change…needless to say, this scenario rubbed us the wrong way and we will not be returning. Hopefully others have a better experience!

I love Ozark Tavern! The staff are very kindhearted and friendly. There’s TVs to watch sports, there’s a bar, the interior is decorated well with all the lake decorations. The food is good. Definitely worth going to! Have a great day!⚓️❤️ ⚽️ ⛵️

Went in for lunch today and from the time we sat down it took 60 minutes to get a grilled cheese, a burger and an appetizer… The restaurant was decently busy, but it should not have taken that long to get a meal that was ok.
I’m going to give them the benefit of The doubt because the restaurant is only a week or so old. I will go back in a month or so and if the experience is better I will update my review.
Also, the water tastes really bad…

Being from the Buffalo area, I know wings and Ozark Tavern has some excellent wings!! Staff was polite and there was no wait. Will be back for other menu items!!
3/15/19 just had their pulled pork sandwich. So much pork I couldn’t keep it on the bun. Tender and juicy. Fast and pleasant service. Will be back!!!!

Extremely slow service and uncomfortably chilly inside on an already cold day. The food and atmosphere were good, but not worth the wait. The menu was really limited and not very interesting.
I ordered a wrap and a salad, not something that takes forever to make, but it took 35 minutes to come out.
I also don’t eat pork and their side salad came out loaded with bacon. I know it may seem like everyone loves bacon, but some people have serious issues with eating pork. With the diverse population that is served here, bacon shouldn’t be a default for a side salad.

So while it’s nice to have a place on post to go for a drink and a bite to eat, the service here is usually…. not good. It’s always super slow, even if you are literally the only table in there, it’s like all the servers go hide in the back, or sit at the tables at the other end of the room and ignore you. Also, I’ve tried ordering wine before and most of the time I’m positive it’s that server/bartenders first time ever touching a bottle of wine in their life.
Aside from these things, when you actually get your food, it’s usually delicious and they have a decent sized menu that’s reasonably priced. I love the garlic parmesan fries. So if you have plenty of time to spare, it’s a good place to go.

Went here for lunch just to try it out. It was pretty cold that day and wanted soup but they did not have soup on the menu so I was disappointed. I ended up ordering the catfish (2 small pcs) with sweet potato fries but wasn’t all that great…portion was pretty small for the price. The only reason why I am giving two stars is for our waitress…she was very nice and great customer service. Most likely we won’t be back.

They need to hire more staff. Food was good but we waited an hour during lunch, and they weren’t crowded. They kept turning people away due to staff shortage. They are new so hopefully they hire more staff soon. Appetizer arrived with the meal. Half of our table received their food 15 mins before other half, so that was disappointing. Iced tea wasn’t fresh tasting. Waitress was friendly.
