We have eaten dinner here on 2 occasions. The food, service and atmosphere are all good. Tonight we got a buffalo chicken pizza, cauliflower wings and popcorn chicken to split. The total, before tip, was approximately $48.

The pizza sauce is to die for. We ordered the veggie and iron horse pizza. The sauce had a sweet tomato taste and the crust was perfect. In the middle of the crust was thin and crispy. The edges were light, airy, crispy, yet with the perfect amount of dough. The meat on the iron horse was the right ratio of pizza to meats without over powering the whole thing. On the veggies the mozzarella was good quality. I was originally skeptical of the banana peppers, but they were not spicy, but added a good vinegar tang to the mozzarella.

Great pizza! And a fun, peppy atmosphere to have dinner after a day on the slopes. Bit difficult to locate if you’re unfamiliar, but worth the find.

$20.75 for a 10″ 3-topping pizza, which might have been worth it if it was loaded (mountain resort prices), but toppings were very sparse (see photo). Crust was good. Won’t return.

The pizza, atmosphere, and staff were wonderful. I was particularly impressed with the vegan, gluten-free pizza, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely worth a visit!

The cauliflower wings were spicy and hot. I liked! Could have used a couple more carrots and celery though. The pizza tasted cold and not fully cooked. The atmosphere was loud.
Lot of windows to view the mountains.

We loved this place. My wife and I just spent our 23rd anniversary weekend in Mt. Crested Butte and we ate here twice! Great atmosphere, food and staff. Nothing like sitting alongside a babbling brooke and enjoying a relaxing evening with good company and great food. This is where the locals go! Highly recommend

Nice cozy place. Few different pizzas. Drinks. Seems locals come here (with their dog(s) and sit outside. Crested Butte seems to have service down.

Nice bar with a big warm fireplace. Service was good. Lots of fried food but the cheese balls and the poppers were excellent. Not a huge range of beers on tap and kinda sleepy on a Friday night but definitely worth a visit if you’re on the mountain.

Iron horse is a great small venue. When I went there were many people there. The set up is different, you don’t have a staff of waiters just a bartender that you go through to order at the bar and then you sit down. The bartender was excellent and very service minded. He checked on us and made sure we were taken care of. Very pleased with the food as well. The pizzas are fantastic and so are the wings. Really great place.
