We were let down by the other Indian restaurant over the road, so called on Shenapur at very short notice to celebrate a birthday with 7 friends of ours. They welcomed us in and showed us to a lovely oval table where we could all talk and interact with each other. They were straight over and asking if we’d like some poppadoms, and drinks. We were enjoying a drink and snacks within 5 minutes of being seated, which was fantastic. 40 minutes after taking our seats we were enjoying our mains and sides. They were fantastic. This is how you should look after your customers !! The staff were very friendly and nothing was missed out. What started out as a bad experience was solved very well by Shenapur. Food was amazing and all very good prices and generous portions. Would highly recommend the Shenapur. We will definitely go back.

It’s ages since we were last here and thought we would give it a another try, not that there was anything to complain about first time around.
Saturday night and it was about half full, parking was a bit problematic though.
The service was a bit more functional than friendly but they are only to willing to make you happy.
The drinks menu was a bit limited but I was happy with my Kingfisher and the wife enjoyed her £9.25 glass of house red.
Very crispy poppadoms came with an impressive chutney tray was off to a good start. A shared sheekh kebab starter as usual, it wasn’t the best we’ve had, coarse meat with next to no flavour which had obviously been no where near the tandoori. The wife didn’t eat her half yet the waiter made no comment when clearing our plates.
The mains made up for the disappointment, my clay pot was very nice, and the wife said her salmon tikka was excellent. There was nothing wrong with the sides either.
The atmosphere was ok, a couple of annoying children, or should I say their parents that let them ‘run’ around.
Not a cheap night and we left a bit deflated but I guess would be better on another night, starting with an Onion Bhaji.

Ordered delivery of butter chicken and a lamb dish.. the butter chicken that came was in korma sauce and had to be immediately thrown away.. and the lamb dish was extremely tough. The only nice thing about the delivery was the naan bread and chips. Wouldn’t recommend.

We had a fantastic meal on Tuesday evening.
We were celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary (25th).
This restaurant is very local to us but we hadn’t visited until now. We were waited on with the right amount of attention. The food was delicious.
After dessert 2 of the waiters approached our table and presented us with a complimentary bottle of wine wrapped in silver paper with a handwritten note on it wishing us a ‘Happy Silver Wedding Anniversary’. They also gave me a single yellow rose.
So thoughtful.
We will be revisiting

Service was great on the whole, but some of the staff were a little over zealous in clearing the table from starter to main course , asking repeatedly if we wanted drinks when clearly we still had half glasses etc .Felt a little bit pressured . Food was overall okay, but one of the pieces of Tandoori chicken main course was dry and tasted like it had been recooked . Portion size just about enough Good atmosphere and overall a pleasant experience .

Had another lovely meal with family at this classy and very clean restaurant. Staff always courteous and the food is just amazing, bursting with flavours. My only criticism is the sauce’s, a little less would look so much nicer on the plates.
