I ordered from here recently, happy to see there is finally a location close to me. What a mistake.
I ordered a stack, a burrito, large sized queso, and waited about 25 minutes. I got everything I paid for, although the stack was falling apart. It’s not from anything else being in the bag though, because I unpleasantly surprised to find out when I returned home with my big order of queso that I had about 12 tortilla chips across 2 bags of food.
So I just threw the queso out after I was done and will never return to this store. Bad service, food was poorly put together, and you didn’t even give me enough chips to enjoy the queso I bought.
Not how I remembered other locations being but I’ll never be back because this is what I’ll remember next time.

my favorite Moe’s location. Always clean and staff is friendly everytime and the food comes out warm and delicious. Love stopping here after a long day of work and getting a nice large queso and chicken bowl.

on my lovely Friday I decided to go to moes and they gave me this dry uneditable bowl straight rice about 4 pieces of meat in it. Chips?? don’t even get my started I paid for salsa ofc they didn’t give it to me. at this point closed down immediately!!!!!!!!

Nice fast food option with a few different toppings when compared to chipotle and other Mexican fast food restaurants. I liked that they offer both olives and onions. The guacamole is not as good as chipotle quac in my opinion. Same could be said about the meat options as I think the chicken and tofu options at chipotle have more spice and substance. Pick up was quick and on time.

This Moe’s location is somewhat unique in that orders are primarily placed using kiosks (iPad Pros — nice choice!). You can also order at the counter if you prefer. The employees at this location are very friendly, food is served quickly, and the dining area is clean. Conveniently located on Fifth Ave; frequented by students and hospital workers.

New kiosk only ordering method is great. Allows for you to truly grasp all the options before ordering and to take your time with your decision. Also great for this time of social distancing. It did take longer than usual to get my food but that seemed to be more due to an influx of online orders as we didn’t have to wait to use the kiosk.

I had beef burrito and two tacos; nothing special to rave about but I wasn’t impressed by the price for the amount of food. The two tacos were vey small and were 6 dollars. The burrito was 8 bucks. I could have gotten twice the amount of food for the same amt at taco bell. It was a typical COVID dine-in experience not helped by some weak a/c on an extremely warm day. Overall, a very mediocre experience.

I went into the Moe’s in Oakland on Forbes for the second time in two weeks, trying to give them a second chance. The rewards didn’t work and my bowl was gross. I had like 4 small chunks of chicken, brown lettuce, no sauce that I asked for, and the Gauc I paid for was only a tablespoon full. I wouldn’t even waste your time here. It’s so sad to see the experience of eating at Moe’s lately. I was never one for the hokey “welcome to moe’s!” fake corporate-mandated enthusiasm but everything else about the decline of Moe’s is on full display at this store.
Gone are the whimsical rock and roll themes that set this place apart, now it’s just a cold soulless Tex-mex place like any other. The kiosk ordering was clunky and slow compared to other restaurants, and the lack of ability to get a small water cup is really stingy meaning you have to pay a minimum of 2.50 to drink water with your meal.
However, what prompted me to write anything is the service and food quality of this specific establishment. I didn’t get the sauces I ordered on the kiosk so while I was filling my own sauce cups, an employee came out from the prep area with a handful of chips and dunked his whole hand multiple times into the salsa reservoir and started eating over the salsa. To say he double dipped is an understatement, I’m talking licked his fingers clean and went back for another dunk down to the knuckle. I was baffled and said “are you seriously just eating out of the salsa container with your bare hands?” And he said “…I dunno” and walked away.
I asked the rest of the employees behind the counter “do you guys not do sanitation here? Are you kidding me?!” And a manager-looking guy listfully walked out and said “ah yknow, he’s a strange one”. He’s a strange one??? You’re all strange ones for tolerating this, ew!
Anyway, I was famished so against my better judgment I still ate my food – the seasoned rice I got took up 90% of my homewrecker bowl and was undercooked and crunchy, and I got maybe 1-2oz of the birria that I paid extra for. Really resoundingly disappointing experience and I won’t be back to this Moe’s.
To the corporate person who’s going to say “sorry to hear this! Email us to make it right”, I simply just want to feel like I can eat properly cooked food made by clean hands so rather than sending me some coupon that I won’t use, just get your restaurant in shape please?
