This tiny sushi joint is to be called “don’t judge a book by its cover”. We accidentally found Jiro’s while on our way to China town for dinner. Check out the reviews and decided to give it a shot. Delicious sushi. Well-seasoned sushi rice and fresh fish. The place is small and a cold draft by the window makes it less pleasant to dine in. It’s more like a take out place that they accommodate a dine in option.

New favorite sushi spot in Boston! Everything we got was fresh and artfully crafted! The rice had a nice texture and a subtle umami flavor that complimented the fish perfectly. My favorite piece was definitely the scallops! Inside seat is very limited and a bit crowded with three bar spots, two counter spots, and two table spots.

We ordered the Omakase premium box and while the quality was good and everything tasted fresh, the serving size was definitely smaller than expected — especially for the price

The best mid-tier takeout sushi I’ve had in Boston.
Nearly walked right past this unassuming spot on my way to Tora (my usual sushi fix), but decided to stop by this spot instead. Initially, I assumed it would be a typical sushi takeout spot, but they’ve gone the extra mile to make it feel somewhat premium—wooden boxes, a good variety of sushi, yet still cheaper than its equivalents at other well-known sushi spots.
While the portions weren’t noticeably bigger, I really appreciated how they included nearly ten varieties of sushi in the chirashi don. Not all of them were top-tier quality, but I was impressed to find fatty amberjack, sweet shrimp, and even chu toro.
For the Mini Omakase box, the quality was comparable to some of the great-value omakase spots I’ve visited in NYC. My favorite pieces were the shima aji, scallop, and the chu toro.
Compared to these two, the salmon ikura chirashi box felt a tad plain, but still worthwhile. They were quite generous with the ikura portions, though the salmon itself wasn’t particularly impressive.
Would definitely return for the chirashi box.

Love this place so much. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Have been a dozen or so times working my way through the menu. My fiancé doesn’t do sush so anytime I eat on my own it’s usually here. They’ve ruined other places I’d usually go to for sush as this is a level above . The staff are awesome and super nice too. Glad I found this place.

I walked into Jiro expecting a fast lunch, but instead I got a fast and beautiful experience.
The sushi was amazing, the fish was fresh and flavorful, served at room temp, which is the ideal temp for sushi, and the chef didn’t over provide the rice, which many restaurants are tempted to do.
I had the mini omakase box and it was 20 minutes of pure bliss. For 20 minutes the flavors made me forget where I was and deadlines I had.
This little shop is one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had.

Literally the best sushi in Boston under $200. I have never been happy with a single sushi place in Boston other than Wa Shin and think this is the second best. The price is ridiculously good for the quality. The place is very unassuming but definitely give it a try IN PERSON (takeout or delivery sushi is never that good). I loved all the spicy rolls (with extra big tempura crunches that add a great texture) and the fresh scallop sushi!

A small sushi shop in Chinatown great for pick-up or sit in for a quick meal. I’ve tried it twice so far in their first month of opening and I want to go back frequently. The value is incredible and the quality of the ingredients is superb. It’s a must try if you appreciate quality sushi. It’s the best in the city for the price point.

A gem in Boston Chinatown that offers omakase in a box. Great quality of fish and the sushi chef is passionate about his craft. If you like sushi and omakase but don’t want to sit and wait for all the pieces to come then this is your place! If you want omakase to go for lunch because you are in a rush, then this is your place! Cannot recommend this place enough!
