This is a solid Mexican restaurant that should knock out your interest in supporting a chain restaurant.
I rarely get fajitas, but as a rule, try the food in the name of the restaurant if it’s my first time.
It was a good decision. The fajitas were seated well and tender. The tortillas were very good. Flaky and medium in texture.
Ask for the vegetable soup as an app, if they have it. It reminds me of my grandmother’s. Just a savory goodness of celery, onion and carrots.
The table salsa is thick and worthy of a half star on its own. The chips are fresh and thick. A rarity these days.

This is one of those secret delight spots. They have an excellent fajita platter that includes a taste of their beef, chicken and Jalepeno sausage. They are fast too, and the tortillas are made fresh! Not a big chain spot but I would give them a try.

Came for lunch. Food is great. Only problem was the price. Looked online at the menu before coming in and was expecting to pay about $17 since it said 15.99 for a large quesadilla but it came to $20 which means I was charge about $2-3 more if gratuity was added I would have like to been informed.

I went to this restaurant to have dinner, after finding out that it was no longer called Fajita Flats. Elisio is still there though! He has been at this location for 30 years, and is a big part of the vibe there. He is really friendly and such a great host! Hailey was my waitress and she was really friendly, too! I had the Birria plate, and it was amazing! The meat was so tender, the consomè was perfectly spiced and was so delicious, I didnt even think about pictures! I couldn’t stop eating long enough! The chips and salsa were awesome too, and the lemonade was really refreshing. I’ll definitely be going back for Taco Tuesday soon!!

This replaced another tex mex restaurant and the service is wonderful. They were very attentive and checked on us several times. The food was pretty good. The street tacos highly recommend packed with lots of ingredients and gave me the extra cilantro and onions I wanted. The plate we got was okay but very fulfilling, is it the best no but it was good enough to eat but never get again. The reason why this place is good is cause for the money it was awesome. We paid less than $30 with 20% tip for the plate, 3 street tacos and a Mexican coke. They also asked if I wanted bean soup for my tacos but I declined. The tortilla chips are homemade and salsa was . The cook came out and greeted and spoke to all the customers. We would come back again.

It is not the same as fajitas flats. Not sure what the other reviews are alluding to but they fell off hard. Subpar ingredients now. Hope management does not cut corners on their food orders and go back to quality cheese, proper presentation, other concerns were: dry and clumpy beans ,crispy veg rice, and stale tortillas used to wrap my cheese enchiladas. The double fried chips are nice but you may want to soak it in the delicious salsa Verde or queso otherwise you may crack a tooth or make gums bleed. The salsas are far from spicy but they do pack flavor… The green one at least. The red one is bland, the veggie rice was decent but again little stale and flavor less. I have been going to fajita flats since 90s and even though it might have some staff I did hear that they have new ownership and now the new name. I miss the complimentary soup. I’ll give them another shot and try their namesake dish…. Fajitas

Love me some Fajita Grill, the revamp here is amazing. The drinks and food are top tier you wouldn’t want to miss out especially on a good Taco Tuesday and a Birthday Celebration. Fajita Grill through the week and the weekend.

This used to be Fajita Flats .
6 months ago, they changed the name to Fajita Mexican Grill, the same people inside just new owners .
The service was excellent . I had two waiters checking on my drink and if I needed anything .
I came in at 5 pm as the sky’s let loose .
I had to order the basic chicken Flautas. This is a basic all mexican restaurants must get correct before exploring the menu .
They nailed it .
It came with rice beans and a small salad. I tasted the twice fried chips and immediately ordered the queso with beef for my chips …. (tummy growls).
The Flautas were amazing crunchy and filled with chicken.
The pounding rain and soft music were a shear delight.
Bring the family by and try this place out … feels like home .
I am far and away from my beloved RGV .
