If you’re looking for the classic “airport dining experience”—you know, the one where you pay $40 for a sad sandwich and the service makes you feel like an inconvenience to society—stay far away from Andiamo.
I walked in expecting the usual O’Hare chaos, but instead, I was met with some truly offensive levels of hospitality.
The Food (Or: Why Was This Actually Tasty?)
I ordered the chicken with steak fries in a Madeira sauce with mushrooms. I fully expected the chicken to have the texture of a yoga mat, but it was—dare I say—delicious?
The Sauce: The Madeira sauce didn’t taste like it came out of a plastic pouch. I’m honestly a bit hurt that an airport restaurant put more effort into their reduction than I do at home.
The Fries: Big, bold steak fries that weren’t soggy. In an airport. In 2026. Truly, the audacity.
The Service (The “Problem”)
The bartender was the real issue here. He was appallingly friendly.
Hydration Sabotage: He kept filling up my water without me even asking. I was trying to be a grumpy traveler, but it’s hard to maintain a brooding aura when you’re being treated with “politeness” and “genuine care.”
The Vibe: Sitting at the bar was actually enjoyable. I went in ready to scroll through my phone in a fit of boredom, but I ended up having a nice time instead. Disgusting.
Verdict: If you enjoy being pleasantly surprised, eating food that actually tastes like food, and being treated like a human being despite being in an airport Hilton, this place is a total disaster. 10/10, would accidentally enjoy myself again.
This morning I tried the breakfast buffet for $32. It was pretty good. Everything was fresh and tasty. Coffee was really good
Even in Mexico, this would be shrimp cocktail. I was expecting chopped up shrimp marinating in lime juice…NONE of that. Three whole shrimp for $20 is ridiculous.
I guess my waiter was tired as he didn’t even get the other half of my order. I was done and asked for the check.
The butcher block and Caesar salad are great. Good amount of food for the price point, but my gawwd, PLEASE change this “ceviche”.
We had the chicken wings, chicken Ceasar salad, tiramisuand wedge salad with salmon…all were delicious. Our waiter was lively and accommodating. Atmosphere is what you would expect from a hotel airport restaurant. Meal was a tad pricey but so convenient, we left happy.
The team could not have been better or more accommodating. Our server, Tarik, found the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us our space. We were there for over 2 hours, taking up a 4 top with just 2 people and he never gave us any indication he was upset or wanted us to leave.
The team was kind, prompt and very friendly. The food was good and the atmosphere was comfortable… the MOD was great and was clearly supporting her team all over the restaurant.
Tarik was a standout, of course we tipped well and thanked him profusely. Just a shining example of what it means to truly lead with hospitality and a genuine commitment to taking care of the guest. Much appreciated and extremely grateful. .
Time staff was pretty good. Some rude but the manager and my waiter were good. Decent steak. Morning service was absolutely horrible. This would of been a 4 star if it wasn’t for the staff about 1130am Nov 30th. I had to walk into the center of the place to find anyone for a seat since it said “wait to be seated “. She acted bothered that I was even there. Waiter was slow, food took a long time even though only 10% occupancy. Poor service and mediocre turkey burger. Night manager should be running the entire place. It has potential but it shows that bad staff create a bad environment….. as I write that two staff members walk in from outside stinking of cigarettes.
The food did not quite rise to the same level. The birria pizza sounded promising on the menu and turned out to be a misstep on the plate. The beef was heavy, with big chunks of fat where tender pulled meat should have been. On top of that came a thick layer of pico de gallo. In theory it made sense, in practice it pushed everything out of balance. The whole thing tasted more like a confused taco than a pizza, without the joy of either. It was still edible, just flat and forgettable. The evening ended up carried more by the atmosphere at the bar and by Mohssine’s quiet care than by what was served. In a long travel day, sometimes the memory that stays is not the meal, but the simple relief of someone behind the counter who still takes pride in paying attention.
