Full menu fast food restaurant and ice cream shop. We have excellent burgers, steak sandwiches made with prime ribeye steak and we have a house made chicken breading for excellent chicken strips and sandwiches. We are also a full ice cream shop with both soft serve and hand dipped ice cream. We are seasonal May through September.

We love Dairy barn and love to go here for dinner as a treat as a family. The food is pretty good. It’s always been a little on the expensive for fast food side but worth it.
But we just went for the first time this year.
I can not even believe the prices….we got 2 sandwiches with fries. And two orders of chicken strips with fries. No drinks. And it was 50$. I cant even believe that. I like supporting local businesses and enjoy the fun family it offers but that is outrageous. We wont be back until prices come down. I hope this is just another weird covid thing.

Friendly service. We had a Philly Steak sandwich and a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and onion rings. The wait was reasonable. There were a variety of flavors for hard ice cream and shakes. Creemees (soft serve ice cream) are available, too.

Came with our family after the fair. I placed my order for sugar free butter pecan ice cream. My husband and 2 kids placed their order. Our daughter paid and everyone received their orders except for mine. I asked if it was overlooked. I was told that I need to pay for my ice cream because too many people walk off without paying. I said we paid is my ice cream not included in the order? They told me NO because I didn’t PAY!

Dairy Barn is always good. They have good food, good ice cream but way too expensive. I understand the owners undertook a project and after completely remodeling the entire business have to recoup some of the cost but geez, this is Alcona county, we are just a bunch poor folk.

I’ve had lunch there several times and I’ve never had an issue, the ice cream is awesome, malts and shakes are very good, reminds me of little mom and pop places I saw growing up in the 70s

The Dairy Barn is one of my favorites to eat at, I got the BLT, and they did a good job on making it. Kind of a lot of fat on the bacon, but it’s all good. The BLT was still good.
