They give you a paper menu to write down your orders for each round and the food comes out in a timely manner. The fish is fresh and good quality. There’s a good variety of things on the menu, but I like their nigiris, carpaccio, and rice-less sushi. But my favorite thing about this place is the rice to fish ratio! They give a small amount of rice compared to fish which I like cause I get more bang for my buck. That’s pretty much the main reason why I would keep coming back.
My only suggestion would be for the servers to offer to take the next round’s orders sooner to avoid having a gap when eating. It almost seemed strategic that they would only come around when the table was empty. I like to keep the food coming at AYCE!
Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the complete opposite. The fish was bland and tasteless, a far cry from what it used to be. The rice was hard, dry, and completely lacking that subtle vinegar flavor that makes sushi rice enjoyable. Without it, every bite just fell flat.
The appetizers didn’t help either — most were uninspired and poorly executed. The menu now feels focused more on quantity than quality, with heavy, flavorless rolls designed to fill you up rather than showcase fresh fish and balanced flavors. On top of that, the all-you-can-eat rules, which once felt fair, now come across as restrictive and designed to push customers toward lower-quality options.
The only bright spot was the staff — they were friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal. Unfortunately, good service alone doesn’t make up for disappointing food. What used to be a restaurant I recommended has now become one I wouldn’t return to.
You have 3 rounds to order from, and with each round, a pair of diners can order 4 rolls and 10 orders (2 pieces per order) of nigiri sushi. So technically, two people could order 12 rolls and 30 orders of nigiri sushi. I think that’s how it works.
Anyway, the sushi was made to order and looks good. Taste and quality wise, I’d give it a 7.8 out 10. Others may have a different opinion
Portions are smaller than average, but if you can manage to eat 4 rolls and 30 pieces of nigiri sushi in one sitting, portion size becomes somewhat irrelevant. The menu is expansive, and there is a lot to choose from.
Service is efficient and friendly. Parking is easy.
Sake2me isn’t cheap, but neither are its sushi offerings. I would say it’s a good value, especially for those with large appetites. Just don’t set your expectations too high.
Ordered udon to go and got home and it was soggy.
Would recommend they package the noodles and tempura flakes seperatly so it doesn’t become all mushy
Overall, the nigiri is still TOP TIER. Fish quality was great!! …but the sushi rolls, not so much. WAY TOO MUCH SAUCE!!! Service was inconsistent, but the staff were nice! Our nigiri always came out quickly, but our rolls kept getting skipped and didn’t come to our table until our last 20-30 minutes of eating.
My menu recommendations:
+ Salmon Belly Nigiri
+ Tuna Carpaccio
+ Freshwater Eel Nigiri
+ Yellowtail Nigiri
+ Sato Roll
+ Sashimi Salad
+ Green Tea Ice Cream (!!!)
Sushi was very delicious and these are made of quality fresh ingredients.
Parking was easy to find.
I hope they get back to the kind of quality they had when they opened (it was quite impressive). Overall 3.5 stars.
Updated (12/20). New Menu selection for AYCE. Quality, unfortunately, has gone down a bit. Sushi tacos had good fish to salsa ratio. Now, it’s 1 or 2 cubes of fish and the rest is salsa.
(Original post) Food was great! Fresh fish (ratio of fish to rice is 3:1) and servers were quick (went on a weekday around lunch time). They were constantly asking me if I want to order more.
Non-sushi items: Mini Sushi Tacos w/ Salsa, Chicken Karage, and the beef bulgogi
Sushi: Spicy Garlic Salmon, Yuzu Yellowtail, Escolar, Mackerel, and Unagi.
Rolls: Salmon Skin Roll
