This is horrible. I’ve been to the middle east and Africa… this food does not represent it at all. I’ve never had such bad food. I took 2 bites… tasted like burnt and butter garlic. I only tried a second bite just in case the first was only bad. The hummus has no seasoning. It’s just blended chickpeas, no lemon, no salt, and no oil. I wanted a good shwarma since i weirdly enough missed them… this was awful. Do not go here. The service was awful as well. It took forever and i felt like i was a burden. My order was simple… apparently not enough.

Came here on a whim, this place was good and I think I’ll come back to try something new. I grabbed the Chicken Haneeth, which was largely portioned and enough for 2 people honestly (I didn’t know it was going to be such a large volume of food), it was about 20$ total for that so it was a good deal considering portion size. It came as a half of chicken on a bed of seasoned rice with a side of mixed veggie soup (a soup of okra, carrots, potato, eggplant). I think the items were seasoned well, not overly so and thankfully not very salty, which I look for in meals. My meal (which was eat in, not takeout) came with a soup, salsa style sauce (nice and spicy) and a salad with tomato, bell pepper and cucumber. My partner got the New York chopped cheese; he said it is 10/10, he notes good flavor, texture, not overly sloppy and it came with lightly seasoned fries (they kind of tasted like potato chips). They have several lamb dishes I would like to try next time too, and I reckon the portions are large like the one I had today. I only took a star for atmosphere as there are tables bunched together so sometimes you’ve got to wait or sit next to someone you do not know; however, considering it is a smaller dining space, it works well.

I had the Chop Cheese Lover Chopped Cheese. It was absolutely delicious. Fries were super fresh and seasoned. I loved the flavor of the sauce on the sandwich.

I tried this place for the 1st time with my Mom and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious and the customer service was superb! I was surprised how much food you get for such a reasonable price! We’ll definitely be back again!

I was absolutely delighted with my recent carryout experience from AJ Deli, as the food was so incredibly good, especially the Chop Cheese, which was a juicy, perfectly caramelized mixture of seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and sautéed onions pressed into a soft hero roll, making it a perfect, flavor-bursting masterpiece, that I completely forgot to take a picture before eagerly devouring every bite of my meal (my phone essentially went into ‘What diet?’ mode and shut down all photographic capabilities). This culinary brilliance also included a phenomenal, satisfyingly seasoned Lamb Over Rice featuring fork-tender pieces of aromatic lamb generously draped in a creamy white sauceq over a bed of fluffy, fragrant basmati rice, all finished off with a great, thick, and refreshing fruit smoothie that felt like a well-deserved victory lap for my taste buds. We will be returning to try everything!

This place is GREAT. The food is unbelievably good. The grilled chicken with rice and veggies is delicious. Definitely enough for 3 people. The complimentary Moroccan tea is good as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

AJ Deli has been a true gem for me it bring NYC food to the south. A taste of home is what I get to enjoy every-time I come and grab a meal. The guys are friendly and efficient. My fiancée and have now deemed this one of our weekly spots. So far our favorites are lamb over rice and Philly cheesesteak.

My first time visiting and wil definitely be my last!! The service and communication is poor for the this to be the type of restaurant that it is!! When I walked in, I was not acknowledged by anyone so I had to find the menu on my own since there is no big menu board in the restaurant!! After looking thoroughly throughout the menu, I made my mind in teriyaki wing/fries & the chopped cheesesteak lover add bacon!!! Both orders were done completely wrong and you would think that the questions would have been asked before making the food instead of waiting till it was done then talking about he was confused!!! Me being a business owner myself, I always address any issues with a customer and see how I can solve it!! Instead, the female on register handled everything and no one else was professional enough to own up to their mistakes!! I had high hopes from looking at the pics but from the time I stepped inside, the atmosphere and integrity of the business had a bad effect on me!!

Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious gyros. I ordered the combo lamb and chicken gyro and it did not dissapoint. Had flavor and tenderness and the bread they use for the gyro is soft and warm too. Cant wait to go back to this spot.

When they first opened they were really good, now it’s fallen apart. Food takes too long, and vary vary greasy. I just ordered on DoorDash and it was like my whole rub was dipped in oil I’m literally in the bathroom right now on the toilet typing this. I love their food and hope management steps it up. Prices always been skyrocketing high but I’ve never complained about it because the quality was good at first but now it’s totally not worth the prices they’re charging.
