SEATING: Very limited. If you have a big group (6+ people), you should definitely call ahead. View images for seating and space.
FOOD: We ordered the Potstickers, Spring Rolls, Pineapple Shrimp Curry, and Satay Chicken Bowl. All were supremely amazing in quality. The Pineapple Shrimp Curry and Satay Chicken Bowl is VERY generous with the amount of rice and protien you get. The images on the menu make it look small but the quantity you get WILL fill you up.
The Pineapple Shrimp: Would highly recommend for anyone that loves shrimp that’s bathed in authentic red curry. Spice Level was decent but SAFE for those that are not tuned to authentic Southeast Asian spice levels, but if you want more spicey, let them know. The pineapple shrimp dish was elevated by the red curry. The aura happening in your mouth will keep you wanting more.
The Satay Chicken: The chicken is marinated in yellow curry and grilled! Top that with the incredible peanut sauce and veggies, this dish was excitingly delicious to eat. The chicken was hard and cooked just soft enough to let you enjoy the sauces in the bowl along with the oninons, cilantro and cucumbers.
The appetizers: The potstickers and Spring Rolls shined with the peanut sauce. The peanut sauce at Yaigu is quite possibly the best sauce we have tasted. We have tried authentic Southeast Asian dishes, sauces, drinks, etc and the peanut sauce ELEVATES the appetizers to a whole other level. The Potstickers have a kick of spice to it but combined with the sauce, it balances perfectly with the ingredients. The Spring rolls were incredible and always a must get if you’re here, especially when combined with the peanut sauce, view image.
PARKING: You will have to park around the neighborhood and walk here. The neighborhood here is SAFE. We got lucky and go to park across from this building.
OVERALL: A great restaurant if you are looking for an authentic Southeast Asian restaurant. High quality food, AMAZING dish presentation (view images), excellent service, extremely easy and intuitive menu ordering. Would highly recommend this place. Prices are just a few dollars more than other Southeast Asian restaurants but the QUALITY of the foods here are 100% worth every bite!
I’ve been to the restaurant twice now and the food is fantastic.
The salmon bowl was beautiful and delicious. We also ate some of the best spring rolls we’ve ever had.
The dining area is beautiful with many nice touches. The staff was welcoming and prepared everything well.
Now we have to return with many friends.
