They only have boneless wings or tenders, so I went with the boneless wings. I got the garlic parmesan and Asian sauces. The sauces were so flavorful, that’s where the 2 stars come from. However, the actual chicken was horrible. There was nothing “wing-like” about them. They were like chicken cubes. The chicken was very chewy, stringy, and off-putting. The fries were soggy, cold, and lacked flavor. I ended up ordering food from somewhere else.

The Cluckin hot is not to be taken lightly. I Learned the hard way and ruined my stomach most of the day.
One bite and it stung my tongue immediately. I don’t regret it as the wings were juicy and big-sized pieces but I only ate 1 and couldn’t go on.

As a visitor to Grand Rapids, I had to check out their Downtown Market, and I was amazed by the variety of food choices in the area. This place stood out to me as the best. I have tasted many amazing Chicken Sandwiches being from Chicago and this place can easily rank among the best in the Midwest. I love spicy food so I had to get the Hot Chicken Sandwich, which comes with fries. It was so tender and juicy and it was a big chunk of chicken. You can see it was freshly made/made to order. Also, I tried their chicken special of their leg and thigh with parmesan garlic sauce on the side for 5 dollars. It was good too. The sauce was excellent.
The service here was amazing with the cashier and chef being patient and diligent with my questions and making my food. I will definitely come back here again whenever I’m in Grand Rapids. Definitely a must try when in town!

I got the Nashville Hot sandwich and fries. The chicken was pounded thin and cooked crispy. I ate it here and right from the fryer it was hot and good. I can imagine if you have to wait, it might dry out, but fresh was great. It’s hard to judge different people’s spice preferences, but for me, it could have been a little hotter. But the flavor was there. A huge portion of fries, too.

i ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with ranch and omgg the best chicken sandwich ever ! it was very juicy and tasteful , the fires were amazing, it wasn’t over season but well enough with the ranch!! ( VERY JUICY it got all over my pants but i’m not complaining) better than popeyes and any other food chain !!!

Downtown markets atmosphere is great. The food at juju bird was overall, quite lacking. Got the 12 pc boneless wings and the chicken was dry, unseasoned, and really tough. The pieces were large and maybe that works against them in ensuring they are fully cooked they require too long and dry out. The sauces were the saving grace as the chicken would probably be impossible to eat without them, but overall they tasted uninspiring. Really want to like the place, and will probably come back to try the sandwich, but overall, not a recommendation I can make.

The best place to grab some quick chicken! They have everything from sandwiches to just plain wings but my favorite is the Birdie Cone. They take a whole bunch of chicken, toss it in a sauce of your chosing, and throw it all into a huge waffle cone. It’s almost enough to split! Juju Bird has incredible sauces and I haven’t tasted one that I don’t like yet.
