If you’re looking for a classy atmosphere, flavorful and delicious food, and potentially a delightful getaway…highly recommend! So far, all the food has been done very well. The chef is talented!

Absolutely phenomenal! Every plate was a crescendo of flavors, each surpassing the last, leaving us in awe. It was so extraordinary that we had to meet the mastermind behind it all—Chef Mike, whose talent is nothing short of genius. Our evening was elevated even further by George, our charming and attentive waiter, and Israel, the true artist behind the stunning food presentation. And let’s not forget Dai, the maitre’d, whose warmth and hospitality made us feel instantly at home. This wasn’t just a meal; it was an unforgettable culinary journey. The food, worthy of a Michelin star, was only rivaled by the incredible team that made the experience so special. Thank you for an unforgettable night!

A restaurant resting on its laurels and relying on the ambiance and atmosphere to compensate for mediocre food. We got the lamb lollipops to start and redfish and duck entrees. All of them were just okay. The lamb was probably the best but nothing special. The fish was overcooked and both entrees were served with large heapings of bland wild rice and green beans that were clearly previously frozen. The pecan pie was topped with Hershey’s chocolate ice cream syrup which seemed unnecessary.

Service was kind but also mediocre. Small details like mismatched, cheap wine glasses, no replacing cutlery between courses, and no host or hostess made the experience feel a bit ramshackle.

You’re paying for the experience of eating in an old antebellum home, not for food or service.

Celebrated my birthday here – absolutely stunning decor & ambiance! The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re celebrating a special event – you feel like royalty/you’re in a set of Bridgerton.

Pictures show upscale intimate settings. Unfortunately management allows a center table of 5 to change to 7 creating a party scene disrupting all the other tables. Steaks are not choice but Walmart select beef. One server for 12 tables. Average at best

The Restaurant 1818 is a wonderful choice for anyone in Natchez and is especially convenient for guests at Monmouth Home. The restaurant is very beautifully decorated with period furnishings. The atmosphere is great and the food is top notch. The service staff are all first class, very friendly and helpful. The cocktails are excellent and the small lounge to the rear of the restaurant is really nice.

I really enjoy the food here. Yesterday, I enjoyed a mint julep, cream of mushroom soup, baby greens salad with cooked and seasoned shrimp, and the Angus Filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I was not disappointed. Dinner exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was that of splendor. The service was outstanding. A dinner like this on the West Coast would be 150% more. I have eaten at 1818 multiple times, and I always look forward to my next visit.

My husband took me here for my birthday. It was our first time visiting, and for a place that’s reservations only, I was expecting great food, great ambiance, and excellent service. My husband and I both had the baby greens salad. I added shrimp, my husband added chicken. That was $22 and $21 respectively. We then both had the redfish special with mashed potatoes and green beans. That dish was $42 for each one. I got the pecan pie with a scoop of ice cream which was $18. We both had water to drink, but my husband added a Coca Cola which was $3. Our bill totaled $161. My husband looked at me and reminded me that this was an “experience” that we were paying for. For this price, it would have been lovely to enjoy that expensive meal in a quiet environment. When we walked in the dining room, there were two other couples sitting in opposite corners of the restaurant, but carrying in a conversation across the restaurant. This resulted in us having to wait approximately 30 minutes for them to complete their meal before we could have and hold our own private conversation at our table. This “experience” was a NO for me. I won’t be returning. Oh yeah, I’ve had much better tasting redfish, green beans, mashed potatoes, and pecan pie at a bar and grill. The salad was really delicious, but not $22 delicious.

Highlight dinner on our self guided tour through AL and MS. Did not disappoint. Owners are from N.O. so focus on those menus items. The blackened redfish was memorable

We ate here during our stay at Monmouth Historic Inn and we had a lovely evening. The food was fine, the Old Fashioned was very good (much better than the ones we got before on our trip). Thanks for the great service.
