First time at this La Carreta. Fun time. Open spacious dining room with festive Mexican music playing. Very inviting. The place was spotless and the service was very fast and the team was super attentive. The margaritas are a must-have. Massive and delicious. They’re pretty potent too. The queso fundido was addicting. Incredible. I had the Mole Chicken Enchiladas. The sauce was honestly too fragrant for my taste, but everything was fresh and plentiful. Good portions. The steak special was very good. Enough for a couple meals. Overall experience was excellent.

I’m not sure why the overall review score is a 3.8 because after experiencing sub-par mexican food all over rochester, we stopped here on Sunday afternoon on a whim. I ordered a very basic lunch burrito with pork and it was the best burrito I’ve had since moving down here. It was hot, fresh and packed full. The salsa that came with the chips was full-bodied and spicy and the tacos were delicious (so I heard). It was clean and bright and the waiter was attentive but not overbearing. I would definitely come here again.

The service was great, the bar tender was helpful with the menu as it’s pretty big, and the drinks came out quick. The food was served HOTT! It tasted fresh as it was just prepared and cooked (not previously cooked and reheated like other restaurants). The servings were large, and they came to check on us 2/3 times to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be back.

The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere was phenomenal. The bartender was very friendly, attentive and quick. Their food was fine – not bad but the rice and beans seems reheated a few times. Thats just a personal opinion. The prices are fair!

First time stopping in tonight, and I was more than pleased. My waiter, Elias, provided some of the best service I have ever received at a restaurant. Even though there were many other customers, he was extremely attentive. I ordered the birria tacos, and asked for two additional random tacos. Everything was fantastic. After dinner, I ordered the churros, per Elias’ recommendation, and they were great as well. Great prices on everything. On top of the great service, and the delicious food, on my drive home I noticed that I didn’t have my card in my wallet. I quickly turned around and drove back to the restaurant, where they promptly returned my card to me. A worker found it sitting on the ground outside and brought it behind the counter to hold it for me until I returned. Extremely grateful for that, as it shows a lot about the integrity of the staff and the establishment. Highly recommend!

Great food and even better drinks! The steak tacos were tender and flavorful, and the chorizo queso is a must-try. I was especially impressed by the cocktails; the cucumber margarita and churro martini were smooth but potent. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

I didn’t go there for chicken wings, but the appetizer wings were a real surprise, crispy and delicious, some of the best I have had in years, and the main courses Colorado Burrito and my wife’s Enchilada Carretta were truly delightful. Generous portions, loaded with flavors. Nothing here appears to be spicy, so if you like a little heat you are going to need to ask for hotter suce and chopped jalapeno’s which were in generous portions also, lots of flavors, but mild. Cost was up a bit as we had drinks

La Carreta is our newest local Mexican restaurant, and I’m so happy about it! I ate there with a friend Sunday who had suggested we go there for my birthday lunch, a traditional thing between us. Full disclosure, we have eaten at another La Carreta location and were hoping for the same quality of food and service, and we got it big time. My friend had soft tacos and a quesadilla. I had a combo with an enchilada and a chili relleno with rice and beans. Excellent food all around presented by a attentive and friendly waiter staff. I’ll be back again and again!
