First time there, we got the specials: meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy & green beans. Others had fish n fries and okra. All were great! Service was very good and the owners couldn’t have been nicer.

We have eaten several times at 1776 Bar and Grill, and the food, service and restaurant are consistently great. We are not local, but stop here on our way to and from the Lake of the Ozarks. The owners and staff are dedicated local families who go above and beyond to accommodate customers. We have had great burgers, appetizers and salads on every occasion. The restaurant is conveniently located right off of Hwy 54 at J Hwy, between Macks Creek and Camdenton. Anyone traveling Hwys 54, 73, and 65 would find this a great experience. It would definitely be worth the easy 20 minute drive east from Lucas Oil Speedway, as well.

We drove from an hour and a half away to stay at the Mother Nature’s Riverfront retreat with our children. When we were headed home we got a flat and pulled into the parking lot. My husband and his friend had to take the tire to go get it fixed so I took my kids inside. They used the restroom and then an employee came and said they had made a mess so I went to clean it up. The “mess” was water on the sink and the bottle of air freshener spray that had slid off the counter into the sink. Despite knowing our situation the owner or manager came and said we needed to leave because it “wasn’t a good place for kids” even though there was at least one other child there and the night before I had stopped in and there was a boys baseball team and several other children there. I took my kids to sit under one of the gazebos outside and he came and said we couldn’t sit there either because customers need the area to smoke (there were other gazebos). I told him “but we have nowhere else to go” and he said “I’m not doing but. You can’t be loitering.” I again said we had nowhere to go and it was soaking wet and sprinkling rain and he told me “your van is here. And YOU didn’t bring a spare.” We obviously couldn’t sit in my van which was up on a jack and missing a tire. So we started walking to the nearest store when a woman picked us up and gave us a ride. I cannot believe how rudely we were treated and I will be contacting the better business bureau.
In response to the comments from the bar, you offered the jack and then when we explained we didnt have a spare and we’re going to take the tire to get it fixed you said “if I knew you didnt have a spare I wouldn’t have let you use my jack” and then took it back. My kids were not unsupervised, they went to the bathroom while I waited for them and then came back to the table where I was waiting for them so we could order food. We were in the building less than 10 minutes and stayed in the side area of the bar where there are games. And as I said, the night before there were nearly a dozen kids playing unsupervised in your bar and no one said anything to them despite the fact that they were moving around from the back room to the games to the bar area.
Maybe if you hadn’t been intoxicated ( and driving with an open beer bottle in your hand to bring us the jack) you would remember the situation better. I told her I wasn’t ready for a menu yet, not that I didn’t want one but its nice to know you would have let us stay if we were giving you money but not because you didnt want to make my kids sit outside in the rain.

Small inside but big outside. Friendly staff and the pickle chips were pretty good. Saw this as we were riding and decided to stop. Was glad we did. Small store on the inside as well. Sounds like they are looking to grow and have lots of good times.

Stopped on a Wednesday afternoon while out enjoying a motorcycle ride on a beautiful 75′ day. Not busy, good service, has a full bar, (limited lunch menu) after 4pm full menu. Inside seating and a lot of great outside seating. Looks like a small stage outside for bands. Plenty of parking Everything you might need convienvce store. Paraphernalia,THC/CBC items. Ice cream freezer, ATM, Restrooms. Extreme online Bar Bingo.
