The spot itself has tons of personality. It’s cozy, welcoming, and perfectly located in the heart of the SoMi district, making it a great place to stop by whether you’re in the neighborhood or exploring Miami. And their cinnamon caramel iced coffee is incredibly refreshing, especially during these warm Miami days. One sip and you immediately understand the hype.
It’s the perfect place to bring kids, family, friends, or just hang out and soak in the Miami vibe. Honestly, this spot would beat any Starbucks when it comes to atmosphere, flavor, and character.
If you’re in Miami, make sure to check them out, whether it’s Calle Ocho, Brickell, or their newest location in SoMi.
Special shout-out to their awesome and charismatic team: Rosi, supported by Amanda, Lianna, Olivia, and Jael, and of course Eric, the mastermind behind this authentic and creative concept.
I was planning to head to my usual coffee-and-pastry spot when I noticed Bored Cuban was open across the street. I decided to give it a try and post up there while I waited, and I’m so glad I did.
Right away, I was drawn in by the artwork and overall vibe. For a smaller space, there’s plenty of seating, and the merchandise section really catches your eye. The murals by Friks84 are super Instagram-friendly and add such a cool energy to the place.
Since it’s Lent and I’m avoiding meat on Friday’s, I ordered the Ranchero Wrap with a lemonade/guava refresher. The spinach wrap filled with rice, beans, and scrambled eggs absolutely hit the spot. After the kind of day I was having, it felt like things were finally turning around.
And the customer service? Top-tier. When I went to grab my order, my drink was missing. The manager didn’t hesitate — he immediately made another one and handed it to me, no questions asked. That simple gesture alone made me a customer for life. I wanted to thank him personally, but he was busy talking with other customers, which honestly, is another great sign.
I’ll definitely be back, and next time I’m bringing the entire family.
What completely ruined the experience was hearing the owner aggressively yelling at and belittling his employees in the kitchen LOUD ENOUGH for customers in the dining area to clearly hear. It wasn’t “training.” It was public humiliation. The tone was hostile, demeaning, and deeply uncomfortable to witness.
Watching a grown man scream at what appeared to be teenagers was honestly disturbing. No one deserves to be spoken to that way, especially not young employees who are simply trying to do their jobs. I worked in service management position for three years I have never been treated like that from my supervisors or owners. DO BETTER, or at least make sure that I can’t hear you.
I live nearby and would love to support this business more often, but I cannot ignore behavior like that. Great food does not excuse disrespect. I truly hope the owner reflects on how he treats his staff, because they deserve far better.
If their employees are reading this please leave, their are plenty of locals in this same street that would treat you with common decency.
Amazing place worth visiting.
Best wishes
