My mom, sister, and I stopped here for dinner on our way to a concert. The waitress was friendly and I wish I could give her a better rating, but she forgot our coffee. We ordered the spinach dip appetizer. The spinach dip was good. I liked the mixed shredded cheese on top, it added to the flavor. The bread bowl was really good, crunchy on the outside, and spongy on the inside.

My sister and mom both ordered the Jambalaya with ranch salad. I ordered the Cajun Catfish & Shrimp Creole with clam chowder. They said that the ranch salad was good. It had sunflower seeds and mixed greens. The ranch was mixed in with the ingredients. They said the Jambalaya was spicy and had had good flavor, but they did not like the jasmine rice. They said it was too mushy.

The clam chowder was chunky, but plain. The Cajun Catfish & Shrimp Creole had good flavor. I liked the breading on the catfish, but there wasn’t one shrimp in the mix. I expected it to be a little spicy, there wasn’t much heat to it. I also didn’t care for the jasmine rice. It was over cooked and very mushy.

We all had three hush puppies a piece with our entrees. We all agreed that they didn’t taste like hush puppies. They didn’t have any green onions and only tasted like cornbread. My sister also found a hair in her jambalaya, it definitely wasn’t any of ours. She returned it and they took it her meal off our bill.

Overall, it was ok. The view of the Mississippi River from the patio where we sat was really nice. The restaurant was clean and spacious. It was decorated to match the type of restaurant. We weren’t really impressed by the food, it was ok. My mom was disappointed because she didn’t get coffee. My sister found a hair in her food.

I would prefer to give Catfish Charlies a 3.5 rating, but not an option in google reviews. Too start, nice looking place, located off the river, looks like it can be a hot spot. Started with catfish fingers app (why wouldn’t you, given the name) and they were VERY GOOD. Next ordered the bayou platter; andouille sausage, jambalaya, rice/beans, blacken Chicken and choice of soup/salad (I picked the NE calm chowder). Calm Chowder was actually good, there were chunks of calms in the chowder, which was good. The meal was bland; I understand restaurants have to watch how they season meals due to people who like bland, tasteless food, but when you are selling a Cajun platter, it suppose to have season/spices! jambalaya had no meat in it, sausage was flat and chicken had a wet rub on it but the meat wasn’t season before adding the rub. Rice and beans had green chilies in them, nice add-on, but that is all you tasted.
The last issue I had/have is they charge a credit card fee, but there is no sign indicating that and server didn’t tell me. I have a big issue with restaurants doing this, tell me when you are charging a service charge. This will keep me from coming back for a while

Really good food, vibe & service!!!
Changed names/owners? Recently, as in 4weeks ago per the staff.
Was formerly Captains Table.

Our server, Tera was very sweet and very helpful.

We were super happy we chose Catfish Charlie’s for a late lunch on the Mississippi River! The weather was perfect. Live Music outside was fantastic, and the food was great!

We enjoyed the shrimp boil. Mac n cheese. Soups! Especially the beer cheese. & the lightly breaded catfish was tasty!

Can’t wait to return! We visited the location in Dubuque last summer, and both restaurants are really great food and vibes!

They seem like they are a little short staffed but everything was delicious! Nice view of the Mississippi. There is outside seating too. You can watch the boats come in and out of their slips.

Service was awesome! Bartender saw server was busy so he came out and took care of us. Ordered a couple drinks which were great (Cajun lemonade was spicy!). Charlies catfish plate was more than enough and cooked perfectly. Shrimp salad was really good too. Outdoor seating had tons of room and great view of the river. Plenty of room for big groups. 10/10 recommend!

The food was delicious and Janee was a fantastic server. I definitely recommend the strawberry shortcake.

My only complaint is that they need to do better to clean the tap lines.

We’d been a year ago and decided to give it a try again, not remembering why we’d not been back. Well, we found out. We were pleasantly greeted and sat down right away for a Friday evening. Server was kind. Didn’t know prices of wells and wasn’t sure about menu when asked questions. Got our appetizer, it was warm, and not very appetizing in appearance. One of the 4 entrees was good. The cheesy twice mashed potatoes, are instant potatoes with shred cheese on top. It hadn’t melted. Small portion size of food for the cost. One at our table said we’d probably had gotten better seafood at Long John Silvers. Chicken Alfredo came out with mac and cheese spiral noodles. $140 for 4 people, 1 appetizer, 4 drinks and 4 entrées. Ouch!
On a plus size, fish tanks are cool and entertaining.

I had my doubts when I pulled up to this place because I didn’t see many patrons visiting the establishment. I ordered the catfish, red beans, and rice. To my surprise, the catfish was cooked very well and battered. It could have used a little more seasoning. The red beans and rice were not too bad. I also had fries, but I don’t think I ever saw them. I also had a cup of clam chowder it was on point. This place is a good place to come and dine; the atmosphere is nice. Our waiter, Tia, was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Moline sits on the water, so if you are in Tock Island, please stop by and give them a try. I did and was pleasantly pleased.
