Grateful to the friend that introduced me to Pura Brasa. This was my third visit with my girlfriend and Pura Brasa never disappoints! Not pictured is their homemade horchata and chori-asada. Everything is always fresh and the service never disappoints… Worth the drive from Covington!

Charming place with tables inside and outside, charming atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff. . We didn’t have reservations, but we were able to get a table within a few minutes. The menu is authentic Mexican + more. They have a good drink menu as well. The guacamole and Anaheim peppers appetizers were delicious. I had steak fajitas and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The salsas and homemade tortillas were out of this world. Araceli our server was super personable, friendly and gave us great service! I don’t think I can go to another Mexican restaurant again after our experience! (Except when in Mexico!)

Had the American wagyu tacos, meat was tasteless and overcooked imo, they served two different kinds of salsa and neither of them has much flavor.
Husband ordered the Zabuton steak, it was actually quite good!
The esquites corn and Mexican rice were both delicious.
Will stick with the steaks next time…

A quiet, beautiful little restaurant. The wait staff is so sweet and friendly. The menu is a little pricey but the quality of food and ingredients are well worth it, the taco’s come with a canoe cut of bone marrow and the cheese steak came with the most perfectly cooked fries. I can’t wait to come back and try the steaks.

Pura Brasa is a new gem in Downtown Sumner. Delicious tacos, drinks, steaks, and more! Great alternative to Cuerno Bravo where it’s challenging to get a reservation. The only fault I could find is that the dining room is small, but they make the most of it. When the weather is good, you can eat outside with as many as you’d like! Our friend had a birthday and they brought a beautiful leches cake and sung hbd. Definitely recommend!!!

The food and drinks here were fantastic! We had the chori-queso, octopus tacos, and Gorditas y Tuetano. To drink my husband had their old fashion and I had the honey chamoy guava. Everything was so fresh and delicious, we cannot wait to come back. Our server Maria was the best!

The atmosphere here really kicks this place up a notch. I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. The service is excellent. We were seated and served quickly. Professional and kind staff. Their drinks were very high quality. Truth be told, we came for the drinks. They did not let us down. We ended up ordering both cheese dips. They were amazing. Their tortillas are phenomenal. I recommend a reservation as the inside seating is very limited. I would have loved if they had the ability to be seated at the bar, as well as serving housemate chips and salsa.

I’ve eaten here on multiple occasions and have tried a lot of items on the menu. Every single thing I have ordered has been delicious. I love that they cook everything over an open flame. Their guacamole is also very good! When you order a steak make sure to have It slightly undercooked than your preference as It continues to cook on the cast iron plate. Every server we’ve had gives excellent customer service. We went a couple weeks ago and they had a new server and she was so sweet and so attentive. During the colder months when outside seating is closed make sure to get reservations as they do fill up quickly!

All I can say is the food was delicious and fresh..but I have a family member who grew up in Mexico-she said it was authentic and prepared with love. The portions were generous and beautifully presented.. my family member had a gigantic Mexican drink called a Cazuelitas that she highly recommends- I had the Mole Poblano.. absolutely excellent savory bold with a tinge of sweetness..I’ve had many mole’s.. this was fantastic. The restaurant is not large which adds to the friendly family gathering type atmosphere. We happen to live out here so have already committed to coming regularly..but worth the drive to Sumner. Highly recommended.

We used to love this place and then we came for my birthday. Our server basically ignored us the entire time, we didn’t even get our drinks until after the food was served. We originally ordered a bottle of wine when she first came to the table, about 30 minutes later she realized we still didn’t have our wine and said she was going to get it, when she came back she said they were out and we could pick something else and it would be comped since we waited so long for drinks. We didn’t see her much after that, we ordered an appetizer and didn’t receive the sauces that accompanied it until after we were finished with it, our entrees came, then we finally got the drinks we picked out after they didn’t have the wine, at the very end of the meal, I finally got my soup I had ordered. Then our waitress returned to say she was sick and leaving, she would be transferring our table to the other server. At this point we were ready for boxes and the check, but didn’t wish to keep bugging her if she was sick and needed to leave. Then we waited another 15-20 minutes for anyone else to come back so we could get boxes and pay, this is when we found out they didn’t actually discount the drinks. Our reservation was at 5:30 and we didn’t leave the restaurant until almost 8pm by the time everything was said and done. I also would do away with the booth right next to the door, it was quite bothersome having people basically sit on the top of our table while they waited to be seated because there isn’t any waiting area when you walk in.
