After soaking in the views from the top of Willis Tower, we walked across at Giordano’s pizza. The deep dish here isn’t just pizza; it’s an event.
We ordered the chicken deep dish with selective toppings, and wow. Perfectly baked golden crust, layers of rich, stretchy cheese, juicy chicken, and a beautifully balanced tomato sauce on top. Every bite felt indulgent without being overwhelming. It’s hearty, comforting, and exactly what you hope Chicago deep dish will be.
But what truly made the experience exceptional was Izzy. She was absolutely awesome so lively, warm, and genuinely enthusiastic. She recommended the Mai Tai, which turned out to be the perfect pairing: refreshing, slightly tropical, and strong enough to complement that heavy, cheesy goodness. Her energy elevated the whole meal attentive without hovering, friendly without being over the top.
Great food is one thing. Great service makes it unforgettable. Between the iconic location, that legendary deep dish, and Izzy’s vibrant service, this was hands down one of the highlights of our time in Chicago.
10/10 — would cross the street from Willis Tower for it again.
PS – Deep dish pizza takes 40 minutes
It’s rare to meet someone who not only loves their job but also makes every guest feel special—and she did exactly that. Her energy absolutely made my day. If you get the chance to be served by her, consider yourself lucky. She’s a true gem and a huge part of why my Chicago trip felt so memorable. LORI IS HER NAME !
Giordano’s in Chicago is truly an experience, not just a meal. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with the aroma of freshly baked dough and rich tomato sauce that sets the stage perfectly. The highlight, of course, is their world-famous stuffed deep dish pizza. The crust is buttery and golden, sturdy enough to hold layers of gooey mozzarella and fresh toppings without being heavy. The sauce is tangy and bright, balancing out the richness of the cheese in every bite.
What makes Giordano’s stand out is the consistency — no matter which location you visit, the pizza tastes just as indulgent and satisfying. The staff are always friendly and patient (especially since the pizzas take a little extra time to bake because of their size and thickness).
Beyond the pizza, their appetizers and salads are solid options, but honestly, the star is the stuffed deep dish. It’s the kind of pizza you can’t really find outside Chicago, and it’s worth the wait and every single calorie.
If you’re visiting Chicago, Giordano’s is absolutely a must-try. Bring your appetite — one slice feels like a meal on its own, but you’ll want to go back for seconds.
We ordered a pizza, and the sampler, as the pizza was said that was taking an hour to be done.
Good was good. The place is good and busy.
Good place to check out the deep dish pizza.
