An absolutely wonderful place — highly recommended. The food is exceptional, just what you’d expect from a cozy local bistro in the Haut-Marais. The drinks are equally impressive; they make the best French 75, which is always my go-to cocktail. The staff is attentive, and consistently welcoming. I’ve been there a couple of times now, and not once have I experienced even the slightest disappointment. A true gem.

An unforgettable evening at Pardon My French ✨
From the moment we sat down, everything about the experience felt special. We started with a beautiful goat cheese salad and perfectly prepared langoustine in a rich, delicate cream sauce—an incredible beginning to the meal.
For the mains, every dish was outstanding. The duck, salmon, scallops, and short rib were each cooked to perfection and full of flavor, paired wonderfully with an amazing bottle of wine and refreshing Aperol spritzes. To finish, the espresso martinis were smooth and indulgent, and the chocolate dessert was absolutely fabulous—the perfect sweet ending to a truly memorable dinner.
A special thank you to our wonderful waiter, Sava, whose attentive and warm service made the night even more enjoyable.

Decided to try this because of the excellent reviews and was somewhat disappointed. I had the prefix dinner and started with the escargot. 8 pcs in a creamy sauce with mushrooms and croutons. Good but not as flavorful as expected. The beef Bourguinon short ribs were fall apart tender but, again, lacking in flavor. Tasted like my pot roast! With 2 small pieces of carrots and 2 mushrooms. The chocolate bomb dessert was the best part! My husband’s duck breast was a rather small portion, compared to other French restaurants, but had a nice orange-apple flavor and was reasonably tender. Then, my dirty martini tasted like Sambuca! They remade it but I think they used the same shaker or glass cause I could still taste it. Our server Evan did a great job and his helper was outstanding! Service was excellent. But the food didn’t meet our expectations.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the service at Pardon My French was absolutely outstanding. We were a group of eight, and our server, Kat, didn’t miss a single beat. She was professional, fun, and incredibly attentive — drinks were taken and delivered promptly and perfectly.
Some of us chose the $59.95 three-course menu while others ordered à la carte, and everything flowed seamlessly. I had the escargot appetizer and it was mind-blowing — generous portion, incredible flavor, truly out of this world. My girlfriend ordered the lobster appetizer and again… over-the-top delicious.
For mains, we enjoyed a beautifully cooked salmon dish and steak frites. Both the salmon and beef were prepared exactly as requested, and the chef clearly knows how to prepare fish — perfection on a plate. Everyone at the table loved their meals, not a single complaint.
Dessert was just as impressive: my girlfriend had the chocolate lovers’ dream and I had the apple-and-ice-cream delight — both the perfect finish to a fantastic dinner.
A special shoutout to Kat, who was not only knowledgeable about the menu but made our entire dining experience a true pleasure.
Will we all go back?? ABSOLUTELY. ❤️

We had a single night in St Maarten and read great things about “Pardon my French.” We came with no reservations and sat upstairs at the bar with Ben. It was hands down the best food and drink experience of our vacation. Ben is a French master of drink making. We got the beef bourguignon and salmon and both were some of the best we’ve had.
And can we talk about desert – oh my goodness yummm!!!
We would come back for it all and sit with Ben at the bar again!

So great to have French fine dining in Simpson Bay. Service was friendly food and wine were excellent. Ivan was such a pro. Sauces were delicious and meat cooked so well. The duck was so well prepared and the chocolate sphere was melted with a warm sauce poured tableside and so satisfying.

Delicious lunch! The service was great from beginning to end, our waitress Samantha was very kind and hospitable!! The restaurant is small but has so much charm and is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye… love the decor. The cocktails were delicious as well. Definitely a place to add to your list when visiting SXM. Some pictures of our main course and dessert, forgot to take a pic of our appetizer, also they have great specials! Recommend a reservation, although we didn’t have one they accommodated us.

We order meals from the Le Diner menu which is a three course fixed price option offered. Our appetizers were incredible: a sautéed lobster appetizer and the salmon appetizer.
For dinner my husband had the lobster tail which was delicious. I had the seared duck breast which has chewier than I’d expected but also came with a delightful potato and apple mixture topped with a few vegetables.
Our third course of dinner was a choice of any of their desserts. My husband had the apple tart with ice cream which was a generous portion and he thoroughly enjoyed it! I had the chocolate lovers option which was delicious and probably rich enough for 2-3 people to split. Wow!
We look forward to going there again in the future. This is a wonderful new addition to the Simpson Bay Area.
