Freshly baked small baked goods. The cinnamon roll IS PERFECT. Coffee was also pretty good, loved the light roast

I enjoyed all pastries I tried (orange scone, blueberry scone, broccoli cheddar strata…et ) except the bread pudding- it wasn’t my taste.

Slightly on the pricier end, but overall excellent quality and flavor

First time here and definitely not the last time here. Small but packs a huge punch. The drinks and pastries are delicious. Staff super friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back.

My favorite coffee in Oak Park, with wonderful desserts to boot. Here, you’ll find a wide variety of delicious drinks made in a friendly, warm environment. Highly recommend a trip here whether you live in Oak Park or are just passing through!

Best coffee and baked goods in Oak Park.

They have the cinnamon roll. Like, they’ve unlocked it. Lots of places have a cinnamon roll. Blackout has “the” cinnamon roll. And the Peanut Butter Blackout Brownie, come on.

Today, I had Coffee Cake Bread Pudding…warmed it up a bit, took a bite…fell out of my chair onto the floor. I had a rug down, but I really could have gotten hurt.

Look at their specials board. It’s to the right.
I almost only ever get a special.

My girlfriend is into their savory bits too. She’s so hard to please. I really try. She’s never unpleased with Blackout. I sometimes worry I’m going to be left for a strata.

Their impeccable design was what really got me. When a place has above-average brand establishment, I want to know more. Now I won’t go anywhere else. Their new cups just look and feel cool in the hand…or hot in the hand. I don’t know your order.

It doesn’t hurt that it’s in the Marion corridor. It fits. It’s bijou, bordering on twee.

I live in southeast Oak Park—a three-minute walk away from PQB. I am geographically, diametrically opposed from where Blackout is. I will drive right past ten other coffee places (many of pretty high quality) to go to Blackout.

It feels like a secret. Go get coffee before your figure drawing class.

This review is insane. I’m sorry.

10/10, would protect in prison.

This place has the most strict policies and absolutely no customer service skills. My typical coffee order is 2-3 shots of espresso on ice. I don’t add milk or flavoring to this. This typically costs me $3 at Starbucks but it’s further from me, so sometimes I’ll stop here.

Every time I order this here, the workers refuse to put ice inside the cup and give it to me in a mini shot cup warm. Despite paying $5 for this, which is the cost of a latte, they state their “policy doesn’t allow them to put it in a normal cup with ice”. This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard, and the way the baristas get genuinely angry when I ask this is even more peculiar to me. I’ve never seen a cafe with such rigid policies in Oak Park, let anyone anywhere

I’ve been here many times. I’m always warmly welcomed. The staff is very kind. And a sweets and matcha are top tier. My favorite is the pistachio tart, I’ll put a pic below. Not to mention it’s a convenient spot in Oak Park. Overall a 10/10 🙂

I love their cookies and scones! Small enough to not feel guilty but big enough to indulge in sweatness Also perfect for treating friends. Very versatile.

Phenomenal cookies, pastries, and coffee. I ordered a small box of cookies, an iced vanilla latte, and a lemon blueberry scone. All of it was incredible, but the scone was my favorite! There is plenty of street parking and it is located in a beautiful area. The atmosphere is also super cute, with adorable merchandise for sale as well. Highly recommend!

I found this spot online randomly one day and was intrigued to try the Italian beef bun which comes paired with juice and uses Johnnie’s Italian beef meat. (Big fan of Johnnie’s beef)

I also ordered the truffle cheese bun and ice coffee. Needless to say everything was , the coffee was strong and not bitter , the Italian beef bun tasted like Johnnie’s beef in Cinnabon form and the truffle cheese had a hint of sweetness with a nice kick of truffle flavor.

I will definitely be back because I loved the variety of flavors and options at this location a solid 10/10, the customer service was on point too which is a rarity nowadays.

Have been searching for a a really good cinnamon roll, these really did the job. I picked up a pack to bake at home and it was the best. Also picked up the Italian beef rolls to try and they are different but not bad at all my dad and BF really liked them.
