We ordered the Chicken Nanban and the Saba (Mackerel) both were delicious and full of flavor. Everyone was polite and we were served quickly. We will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes. Highly recommend!!!
You should also order Calpico Citrus drink to go with your meal super refreshing.

Delicious little authentic Japanese business tucked in a small plaza. Cool hand painted menu adds character to the place. I usually order the the Pork Katsu Sandwich with curry dip on the side. Delicious! Friendly and nice customer service. Seating is limited and the parking lot is tight with compact spots. I’ve never had trouble finding a place to park or sit.

This is an “everyday Japanese cuisine” restaurant, located in south Buena Park, at the intersection of Valley View and Cerritos. It’s fairly authentic (I would know because my wife is Japanese and, incidentally, so is one of the owners of this place). It’s a small place, and even though it has a few tables, it mostly caters to take-out customers.
My wife ordered the mackerel, and she liked it. She said it was good, but not the best she’s ever had. Still, good and properly cooked with the right ingredients. She would give it 4 1/2 stars.
I had the Katsudon (pork cutlet bowl), and while it was authentic, it was also too salty, in my humble opinion (too much soy sauce, maybe?). So, I’d give it 3 1/2 stars. Averaging out my rating and my wife’s, I’ve decided to give this place 4 stars.
Service is good and prices are reasonable.

Had the chicken katsu bento. The chicken was nice and crispy, to the point that you could hear the crunch in every bite, while still being nice and juicy. It was accompanied by a really good potatoe salad, but the best side was the hijiki salad. It was nice and refreshing. Everything was made to order and fresh, as soon as I opened it, the steam gave away how good it was.

First time ordering here. Simple Japanese food, great for take out. We got Grilled Salmon and Ckn(white meat)Katsu Bento. Also some side dishes. Kinpira Gobo, Nishime and Ckn(dark meat) Karaage. Flavor is pretty legit, like old school Bento. Kinpira Gobo was abit on the too sweet, too soft side. Was excited about Tofu nuggets, but was not crispy as I imagined… more like Nimono. Overall recommend for lunch/dinner take out. No bathroom to use in the small seats restaurant. Potato salad tho… bomb!

The other day after work, I was looking for some authentic Japanese food. But I did not feel like Ramen or Sushi so I saw this on Yelp Neighborhood Bento. Wow this place was amazing and the owner was so nice and spent some time explaining to me each dish that I ordered. A lot of the vegetables were homegrown on their farm in Pico Rivera. Everything tasted so good. The service and ambience was so fast and excellent. I got to try the salmon bento box, the Katsu sandwich, and a few other items. I definitely will be back. This place is for sure. A golden gem hidden in Garden Grove.

This was my last trip to Westminster/Buena Park area till I get another case down here so I celebrated with lunch at this fun Bento spot. I got the chicken karage box and a diet coke, cost me about 20 bucks. The chicken was real good, they used dark meat, which is totally necessary but not a given based on my experiences else where. They have some real deep cut menu items that would warrant multiple visits. It’s mostly a take out spot, they have three tables and no ac so taking it to go is the move. Way better than average!

We LOVE this place. This is our go-to restaurant after I get my hair done every 4-6 months, so we consider it a delightful treat.
Because of COVID we normally get take out and then depending on how long my hair apt was we’ll either eat in the car or we drive about a mile and eat in this really cute little park where we’ve been fortunate enough to not come into contact with too many others.
They’re in a very small plaza with another Asian restaurant and a 7-11. It’s right on the corner of a pretty busy intersection, but well worth it! Parking hasn’t really been an issue for us but I imagine in normal times it can be.
We always get the chicken katsu and the chicken katsu in sandwich form. Both are so juicy and oozing with flavor! The katsu is always crispy and the sandwich is the perfect portion for someone who doesn’t have a huge appetite (like myself). Portions are great though for the entrees and it’s pretty inexpensive.
Customer service has always been good, nothing exceptional or terrible, but nice individuals who get our order in and made quickly.
Certainly worth the stop for delicious japanese food if you’re ever in the area!

Staff was friendly. Food smelt amazing. Appetizing dishes.
I ordered the assorted bento & everything was delicious! I’m the type of person that needs a diverse arrangement of flavors while eating & this meal satisfied every tastebud. The variety is different from typical LA/OC Japanese restaurants where they serve California rolls & teriyaki chicken, which is greatly appreciated. Every bite of my dinner was savored! 10/10 & I’ll be back.
