It’s good but they have several menu items that are out.

Frozen food quality! Dirty. Small portions. Waitress admitted vegetable were frozen. Top of can was filthy and I had to wash it in the bathroom. See photo.
I asked for a regular water with my meal and they said they only serve bottled water. They do offer coconut water and soft drinks. This means I have a choice of drinking out of plastic bottles or aluminum cans. The average American consumes about 50% of their body weight in plastic in their lifetime. This is directly linked to drinking and eating from plastics. Aluminum is linked to alzheimer’s.
If anyone rates this place more than two stars you should try McDonald’s which is much better.

My wife and I have been to Thailand several times. If you eat here don’t think you have tasted Thai food. Thai food has tons of flavor. Im not sure what this place has to offer anyone. You can a better tasting Thai meal in a grocery store. Our server was great but the cook needed to visit Thailand for a recalibration!

One of my favorite places to eat in town. I usually try to go in about once a week. Variety of different foods with amazing taste. Always consistent, never have I gone in here and not been satisfied when I left. You won’t leave the place hungry either, they give you plenty of food. Almost always have left overs. Service is great, always friendly and quick to refill drinks.(very important to me). I recommend this place to anyone!

Its a small restaurant with great Green Curry. The coconut soup is good. The employees are helpful. The atmosphere is what is lacking here. Order take out and you wont be disappointed. The serving sizes are big.

Don’t let the small, unassuming Thai place in MS fool you. The food is good.
The employee at the counter is friendly on calls and in person. And she remembers details.
The atmosphere ranking is based on my personal criteria.

This review is something I never would have thought I would do especially for this restaurant. I used to live in Meridian until about 7 years ago and from the moment Mrs Gina and Mr Joe opened until the time I moved out of Meridian it was one of my favorite restaurants in town. I also had multiple friends who worked there at some time or another. After moving I realized how Americanized and lacking in authentic flavor their food was but HEY it’s Meridian and they want to stay in business, right? I can’t hold it against them if they modify the tastes a little to be more accepted in this small town. Most people in Meridian aren’t familiar with how Thai food is supposed to taste anyway so there’s no harm done. That’s just a side note and is neither here nor there in reference to why I’m giving this low rating. My rating comes from my experience from today alone. For almost a year I have been vegan but I do occasionally eat vegetarian when I have to. Today I called the restaurant and a lady answered the phone and already sounded like she didn’t want to take my order. I proceeded to order what I thought was and what the menu considered a vegetarian option. Then I asked if I could modify a noodle dish to take out the fish sauce and she claimed that all of their dishes have chicken broth and fish sauce and that it’s impossible to modify it. This really took me by surprise considering I do this all the time outside of Meridian. Also I’ve known people who are allergic to fish/seafood or poultry. It’s quite unethical and dangerous that they are passing these dishes off as vegetarian but are giving people meat based broths and sauces. Furthermore the lady who answered the phone was quite rude and didn’t seem to care that I wanted to patronize the restaurant. She promptly hung up the phone after she told me that it was not possible to modify the dishes. I used to eat here once per week when I lived in Meridian and after leaving I always made it a point to eat here when I was in town but needless to say that won’t be the case moving forward which is really disappointing for me.

After trying another local Thai restaurant in the area, I highly recommend Takrai Thai! Their spice is on point. The soups and apps were fabulous! Not only was the food good and spice just right, the curbside pick up has been the best I’ve encountered during this pandemic! No contact with any persons! Great job Takrai Thai!

Had Cashew Chicken. It was “just okay” Asked for them to spice it up as I know how Thai places in the south tend to dumb it down to suit local palates. They didn’t. .. it was fairly bland. Also they charge you fifty cents for a cup of water. 90+% of restaurants don’t do that. Server did not notify they charge for water at time of ordering but pointed out at checkout that “it says it on the menu” I thought it pretty chintzy … and that’s why I didn’t tip. She should have informed at time of ordering because most do not expect to be charged for water. I won’t be back and won’t recommend to anyone. They have to know most people do not expect to be charged for a cup of water when they order a $10 meal … it’s just a sneaky little way to get another 50 cents out of unsuspecting customers … and I personally resent “sneaky” business owners.
