Firstly, I must say that this bakery has captured my sweet tooth’s attention like no other. Every sweet treat that I purchased and sampled with my family was delectable, and the Middle Eastern flair on traditional desserts was a lovely surprise. The coconut cake was moist and full of flavor, the cookies were buttery and flaky, my Boston creme was so delicious and the cream was rich. I wholeheartedly recommend this bakery and plan to go back for my husband’s Valentine’s Day baklava gift.

Palm Sweets in Sterling Heights is a fantastic spot for authentic Middle Eastern pastries. The variety is impressive—from classic favorites to beautifully crafted specialty desserts—and everything tastes incredibly fresh and high quality. Each pastry is rich, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s a great place to sit down, enjoy a cup of coffee, and relax with friends or family while sampling delicious sweets. The vibe makes it perfect for hanging out, whether you’re stopping by for dessert or spending a little time unwinding.

Not a big fan. I told them it was my first time there and that I didn’t know what it was. Instead of offering a small sample before ordering, she sold me this for $8(see pictur)….total bill was $13 for nothing.

Serving a hot crepe in a plastic container raises serious health and safety concerns. The staff’s attitude was extremely unprofessional and rude. The crepes were overly thick and tasted like raw dough. Charging $36 for two crepes with only Nutella, which weren’t even cut, is unacceptable. I usually hate writing reviews, but many in the community have had similar experiences. Customer service clearly isn’t a priority here. I love their ice cream, which is why I keep coming back, but this was my first time trying their crepes and it was disappointing. I suppose it’s my fault for not driving an extra two miles to Farhat Sweet.

Palm Sweets was a really great experience. The sweets were absolutely delicious especially the baklava I got, it was incredible and one of the best I’ve had.
The young, petite girl who helped me was extremely kind. Even though she looked small and young, the way she spoke and treated me was so warm and lovely. She even gave me a sample to try, and it tasted amazing.
The tall guy at the cashier was also very friendly and polite. Honestly, all the staff had a great attitude and made the visit enjoyable. Their kindness truly adds to the experience, along with the amazing sweets. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visiting out of state, stopped here based on someone’s recommendation and it was the best decision. The place is welcoming, the staff are all amazing and polite, let you taste ice-cream before getting em. Had the kunafa ice-cream and it was out of this world, the staff added a drizzle of caramel as requested and it made it even better. The “Dubai chocolate” theme is spreading like wildfire and it’s hit this establishment too. Tons of options of Dubai chocolate stuff from croissants to a whole cake. Overpriced as usual but the rest of the things are reasonably priced. First time ever tried raisins juice( wonder how’s it possible since raisins are basically dried grapes?) but it was something unique and tasted great. Definitely stopping by to try other items when I visit Michigan again.

It came cold and old. The qatayef was not crunchy at all. On the contrary, it was very soft. It was clear that it was old. The meshbak was very dry. I could not eat it, just one bite. The dessert was square-shaped. I could not try it because it came cold. The fat was solid, like the picture. I threw it away a while ago. The same problem happened again. That is why I wrote my opinion the last time I bought from this store.

I had the pleasure of visiting Palm Sweets Bakery & Cafe for two consecutive nights, and I must say that the Baklava selection was beyond exceptional. The talented lady named Rashad رغد, who assisted me both nights, made my experience even sweeter. Her attention to detail and the way she carefully curated the perfect selection of fresh and delicious Baklava left a lasting impression.
The Baklava itself was top-notch—fresh, flavorful, and with the perfect balance of sweetness and texture. Rashad’s hospitality and customer care elevated the entire experience, ensuring that I left with not just a box of Baklava, but with a memorable experience as well.
Even though I drove over an hour each way from Ann Arbor just to visit this amazing Iraqi bakery, it was more than worth it. I will absolutely return anytime I’m in the area, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a true taste of quality and hospitality.
