Great place to ski and snowboard that is truly where the “locals” go. Lots of run options without the big crowds of the other area ski resorts.

Is there anything better than a cold beer after skiing at Nubs Nob? Answer…No.
Super friendly atmosphere with ample seating inside and out if you wish to sit outside. 90 percent skiiers/snowboarders but there seem to be a few locals that like to visit depending on the weather. Everyone there is there to have fun. You can make new acquaintances there if you like, or just chill out minding your own business.
The pub requires guests to be 21 +, so leave the kids behind if you can.
Bob the bartender is a great guy and a professional. He will set you up. Drinks only. No food options in the pub.
Friendly hint, if possible bring a few bucks cash with you to tip. The credit card machine does not allow a person to add gratuity. I don’t normally carry much cash anymore. What little I did have went into the tip jar. I will know better next time.

This is an excellent Resort. The staff is very nice and helpful. My snowboard was stolen and they did everything they could to help. I ended up getting my snowboard back from Boyne Highlands the guy that stole it still had it in his car. You will not be disappointed with any of the runs on this mountain

Opening day 2018. Arrived at 9 from Kalamazoo. Immediately work the front slopes. Immense powder on twilight zone fall line. Bummed tow rope not running but every other glade was ripped a new one. The trees have such deep, dry powder its insane. Already been 3 times but itching to return to Arena glade. The runs there last Sunday were amazing.

Skied 2 feet of fresh powder this week. This ski area has ski runs for everyone. Friendly ski area. Rent a condo across the street at Trout Creek. Indoor pool and hot tub with a fitness center. Boyne Highlands is across the street. Boyne Mountain ski area is close by. Experience Michigan skiing close to home.
