This place was a good surprise! There are a lot of places to get Mexican food. I would rather go to a restaurant where you order a burrito dinner or taco salad and then it appears however they fix it … But this place was great. I had the beef taco salad, and I added all of the Fixin‘s to make it just right for what I like, and it turned out incredible! The bowl that it was in was nice and crispy and all of the ingredients were top notch! I will definitely be back! Excellent staff with a great attitude and a great atmosphere.

My wife and I have ordered takeout via the Surcheros app many times, and tonight was the second time in the last year that I’ve gotten home only to find that my burrito had no meat on it. They also forgot the sauce that went with it. Before I left the restaurant, I realized they forgot my wife’s side of sour cream, so I asked and received that. But this is a common theme with Surcheros, at least for takeout orders. The food is generally very good, but the attention to detail is lacking, and it can easily sour the overall experience. I don’t think I should have to double check my entire order before I leave the restaurant. Last year, they forgot to put chicken on a salad I ordered, and I sent them an email as prompted to do so in their app. They never replied.

I ordered online. Picked up my order in person. The restaurant was extremely clean and organized. Not too many dine ins. Staff were busy but the one person I spoke to was polite and helpful. This was my first time trying this place. I was impressed. I get to work and open my food. My burrito is split down the middle but I was not disappointed, I thought wow it’s stuffed full. The disappointment set in as I ate the burrito and found that I had a horribly disproportioned amount of rice versus meat. I did not order extra rice but I also did not order extra meat. Out of the whole burrito I had maybe 5-6 small bites that had a piece of meat in it. 75% of it was rice, 10% was meat, and the rest was the lettuce and mushrooms I asked for. I threw away the whole bottom portion of the burrito because it was only rice and sour cream left. If I order again I will have to do it in person and pay more for more meat and request less rice. It’s worth a try if you have never been.

My mom and I ordered from here for the first time last week, and we were really impressed! The service was friendly and quick, the food was super fresh and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Tried this location for dinner for the first time. I had two Chicken Surcheros Tacos, and a Loaded Bowl. I really enjoyed the Loaded Bowl! All the veggies were fresh, and with the added sweet and sour dressing made the bowl taste even better! I also enjoyed their fresh Salsa. The service, and atmosphere was good.

Surcheros serves up fresh food, but honestly, it left me underwhelmed. The ingredients are clearly high quality, but the seasoning is seriously lacking. I get that they’re aiming for a healthier vibe, but a little salt and pepper wouldn’t hurt. Funny enough, the chips for the chips and salsa had more flavor than my actual meal.
It’s also on the pricey side, which makes the lack of seasoning even more disappointing. That said, I did enjoy the strawberry, cherry, and apple cider vinegar drink—it was refreshing and had a nice balance of flavors.
If you’re big on clean eating and don’t mind mild flavors, this might be a good spot for you. But if you’re looking for bold flavors, you might leave feeling like something’s missing.

Surcheros did not disappoint! The food was fresh, full of flavor, and the Surcheros sauce was the perfect finishing touch. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. The only downside was the service—while not terrible, the employees were more focused on chatting with each other than assisting customers. Despite that, the quality of the food will definitely bring me back!

When we entered the restaurant at 740PM one of the employees told us we would have to leave at 9PM.
She was slamming things around in the kitchen and made us feel very uncomfortable.
I understand letting customers know when you’re closing if it’s close to closing time, but we were there 1 hour and 20 minutes before the restaurant closed. We had planned to get food to go as well. We felt uncomfortable about the random hostility so we left.
Surcheros removed our other review regarding this matter. We went to Boca Grande down the street and were served without issue 20 minutes before they closed.

Surcheros has good food, but it feels overpriced for what you get. It’s similar to Chipotle, but the burrito portions are really small, making it hard to justify the price.4 meals were around $70. The chips are definitely tasty, though! If you like spice, just know the salsas aren’t spicy at all. Decent spot, but not the best value.

Surcheros is a chipotle-style spot that features a fresh take on the Tex-Mex that you really need to check out.
They are a fast-casual spot (think Chipotle) where you walk in and order your food.
The food is made right in front of you as you order so you know it’s fresh!
They have all the standard fixes with a few twists. One major twist that’s unique to this spot is they will grill the veggies in their signature vinaigrette before they throw it on your meal. I also tried their queso and chips and I have to say they got some awesome queso and salsa.
Price wise they are in line with what you’d expect. I ordered their Loaded Chicken Bowl with chips queso and a water cup for around $15. My bowl had black beans, southwest rice, chicken, grilled corn, jalapeños, and their chipotle ranch. The restaurant itself is cozy, and clean, and happens to be located in the plaza next to Lowes Foods on Forest Drive.
I really dig this spot and think it’s a great addition to the food scene. I plan on returning any time I want that Chipotle feel but I want a bit more for my money.
