Trying new in different coffee shops is hobby for me. I was inspired to try this one by two things, my neighbor who said he had been there and thought it was a nice place and enjoyed being served coffee in an actual china cup, and the STL coffee pass.
The beverages that my wife and I had were both very good – well above the average. In terms of the food, my wife ordered a soufflé and I had their recommended cinnamon roll.
Both items were very disappointing. The pictured cinnamon roll was $7.50 and for that price should be outstanding. Additionally, the soufflé did not come out to the picked up at the counter till we had almost finished our drinks.
The interior of the coffee shop which can be seen in the photographs is overall nice and new. As an interior designer, I’m not a fan raw constructed black painted ceilings or concrete floors. Neither make spaces warm or cozy and the black ceiling robs the spaces of light. It’s unfortunate that they did not extend the material used over the service area and bar throughout the entire space.
From a service perspective, it would be great if some of the coffee shops would figure out a way to move away from the Starbucks model and actually serve customers. Our experience at Rosemary on the service front was not good and the drinks were served in paper cups – not china.
Rosemary gets our recommend recommendation coffee and other beverages. But if you’re looking for food and service, you might want to look elsewhere.
If you want a wonderful, glorious, delectable, stellar cafe experience, please stop by. The place is brimming with nice people and local artists’ ready-for-purchase pieces. And there are books all over! And plants! It’s beautiful.
However, if you want a good place to work or read, you may have to wait for a table. There is limited seating inside and outside (50 people max inside, I’m guessing?… And 6 chairs at 3 tables outside).
Overall, still a perfect score for Rosemary Coffee Co. The service was awesome and very fast. The drink was perfection. I just need to get there earlier next time! I’ll be back!!!
It gets pretty packed but it’s also a good spot to do some work and study.
Staff is nice and friendly and drinks come out quick.
Have tried the coffee and I like that one as well! Still a matcha girly though.
The quality of drinks is amazing! Everyone was super kind and the whole spot gives a homey vibe. I can definitely see myself even doing some work here. I can’t wait to come back! 🙂
The coffee was very good and the service was exceptional.
There are several tables to sit at, a couple of couches, and even a bar with several high seats.
We went on a Saturday morning before nine and it wasn’t too busy, but by the time we left at 9:30, it was very busy and the line was almost out the door.
We will definitely be back!
I ordered an iced cold brew with sugar-free brown sugar cinnamon syrup and a splash of half and half—smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The person at the counter made a point to say my name right and even used it when I left. That kind of thoughtful service goes a long way.
The space is beautiful, with comfy seating, a lending library, local goods, and plenty of charm. I couldn’t stay long this time, but I’ll definitely be back for a longer visit.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a warm and unique local coffee experience.

The espresso was spot on, the decor lovely, and the owners were welcoming and knowledgeable.
Easy to locate, free parking available, clean restrooms, plenty of outlets for charging your phone or working on laptops,
They roast and sell their own beans, too.
