Please make sure you pick the correct location. There’s 2 on Shelbyville Rd. The Middletown location is my go to. However I must have clicked the location in St. Matthews. I called the shop to speak with someone to ask if my smoothie could be remade, I would pay for it. Since I drove to the location that I use. First, answers the phone like he is at home. I had to ask if this was Tropical Cafe. I proceed to let him know the mix up, before I could finish his comment was, already made not my problem. Then hung up on me. I called back, how rude, again not my problem food made you cant cancel it. I wasn’t trying to cancel it. He made the decision not to listen, and I made the decision to share my experience. Out of $15. Since I was atthe one in Middletown, I ordered here. The staff was quick with me order. I know it was my fault, I was going to pick the order up.

I recently visited this newly opened Tropical Smoothie location and had an amazing experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure every customer felt welcome and well taken care of. Despite being new, they showed great professionalism and efficiency.
Although there were a few minor kinks to work out, the staff promptly addressed any issues that arose and genuinely cared about improving the overall experience. It was refreshing to see their dedication to service, especially during the early stages of their operation.
The smoothies were simply fantastic! The menu offered a wide variety of fresh and vibrant tropical flavors.
The store had a clean and inviting atmosphere with ample seating options, making it an excellent place to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink, whether dining in or on the go.
In summary, I highly recommend this new Tropical Smoothie location. Despite being new and working out a few minor kinks, the staff’s friendliness and commitment to customer satisfaction made the experience truly memorable. I am sure that the workers here are nice and this could have been a one off experience but I ordered a Bahama mama with caffeine added to it. I wanted the energizer add on. The person taking my order asked if I wanted “coffee” I said “caffeine” and he said it again so I thought that he was using the word “coffee” for “caffeine” since he seemed like he was newly learning English. When I got the drink it was literal coffee mixed into the smoothie so I waited in line with some money to tip the man and explained what happened. He said I said ok to “coffee” so he wouldn’t fix it. I asked if I could just have a regular Bahama mama and he again said no. I just don’t think that is very good customer service when there was a loss in communication.

Stood at the counter for 15 minutes I was the only person in line. 3 employees were behind the counter no one greated me . They only went to the back and got another employee to take me order after i took a picture of the empty counter and started writing this review. Took a minute afterwards to get a receipt. Drink was amazing. Store was extremely clean and well kept. Staff just needs additional training in regards to greeting customers and taking orders in a timely manner. Staff were polite once they made contact with me. Once my order was taken it was made swifty with almost no wait.

We loved tropical smoothie when it was affordable for our whole family which includes my two toddlers, but now we can eat at a sit down restaurant for the same price and kid you not, some times cheaper than what it cost for 4 to eat at tropical smoothie, plus we usually have leftovers. It’s sad to see the price increase so much. Corporations are choosing profit over customers so we really pick and choose where we go now a days to make sure we get value for our dollar.

Just weird. Nobody spoke n to me until the very end. I was picking up my order. It wasn’t ready yet so I stood in line. One girls behind the counter looked into my soul and didn’t say anything. Another girl came it and gave me half my order. Then she realized and made my smoothie. I got me order in about 2 mins and was walking out and that same girl said “Good one”. I assume she said “HAVE a good one” but it was so low that I didn’t hear it. It was odd. But the smoothie bowl with Nutella is the greatest thing on Earth right now!

There was a young soccer team occupying the whole restaurant when we went. The two employees handled it very professionally and kindly. We were watching very impressed despite the many requests we overheard from the group. Our smoothie and food were great.
