This place is truly a hidden gem. 1000% worth finding as the atmosphere, service and food are all incredible. Truly – check it out yourself. Pizza was incredible and the baked goods for breakfast are top notch. There are trees, fairy lights and a stream with fog – creating a relaxing and serene space to enjoy all the tasty food!

This is a hidden gem!!! Absolutely one of the most romantic places we have been to for dinner. So unique, the jungle atmosphere, the lighting, waterfall, lil river and fog, it is hard to describe!! My husband so enjoyed his pizza. I had the vege pesto pasta and every bite was savored. I gave the food four stars because I left hungry, perhaps bread served with the pasta would be a nice addition.

Had a wonderful time at this lovely little restaurant in Caye Caulker. The food was delicious and freshly made, the drinks were tasty and the service was excellent. It was my partners birthday and the staff even helped prepare a candle to put on the dessert. So kind! Would recommend this hidden gem. Definitely worth going off the beaten track to find this place for good food and drinks.

Lovely food and atmosphere! My friend and I stayed at the Airbnb tucked just behind Suggestion Gourmet Restaurant and we felt so spoiled to dine here frequently during our stay. The outdoor seating is shaded and beautiful. The server Paul and chef Alfredo were both kind and helpful. I recommend the crepes for breakfast (I got chocolate and strawberry) and the shrimp pesto pasta for dinner. The cocktails were delicious, and they even sent me with bread and butter to take to my friend who was back in our cabin feeling ill. I’d come back to this restaurant in a heartbeat.

Being the time of season some of the fruits were not available. But all the items were absolutely fresh. Banana mango smoothie was insanely great. Humming birds whisking all around is a great site. The orchards and koi pond are also a great addition.the setting is as close to have breakfast in the jungle.

What a fun little hidden gem! Great food and not the typical Caye Caulker fare. If you’re a francophile who enjoys a flawless Croque Madam for breakfast, Suggestion is a must stop. We were there off season and on a weekday. So quiet – but service was both snappy and friendly while keeping a nice Caye Caulker vibe.
Please understand that I’m a loud, obnoxious, American Boomer who pretends to speak any language so when I say they are friendly give them double points for putting up with me!
Of course there’s a full bar and the menu is quite varied – but I just love a French breakfast!
I will be returning to Suggestion Gourmet. Damn near daily.

My husband did some research on a Gourmet French Restaurant in Caye Caulker, and we decided to give it a try. We started with some complimentary bread served with a delicious spread made of herbs, avocado, garlic, and balsamic vinegar. For my smoothie, I chose the “Everything” blend, which included papaya, mango, pineapple, and I’m forgetting the last ingredient haha!
For our main dishes, I had the shrimp pesto pasta, while my husband enjoyed the meat lovers’ pizza. We also tried the frozen nougat, which was truly unique, and we both loved it. The place is spacious, but since it rained before dinner, the indoor seating felt a bit cramped. I imagine it would be much more beautiful and enjoyable in the sun! Still, the atmosphere was romantic and cozy, and the server was absolutely hilarious! He took a selfie before he humorously captured our delicious food for us.
