AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS BBQ!!!! I’ve been here a few times and loved every dish I’ve tried. The brisket has to be my fave in town. The flavor and juiciness of the brisket makes you instantly smile!!
The spot is much needed in the area. The smell as you walk in makes you instantly hungry and want to order everything they offer. The sauces are awesome and open to every level of New Mexican with a BBQ tooth!! The sides are delish and they even have local beers on tap!!! Everything tastes and looks super fresh too!
Service has been mixed so I cant fully give this place a 5. Initially the staff are welcoming but then they seem to get distracted once they get the order in. They are friendly, just not on the ball.
Regardless, YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE if you want delish, OG BBQ with an ABQ flare!!!

Eat the “local” Xmas sauce. It is the best one. Ribs are good, the butternut squash soup was amazing. Very creative and unique menu. Will come back and try more. Cool to hear the story about the family are pig farmers.
Suggestions for the company (because I want you to succeed)
Heat your rolls, and warm butter. (mine was cold, and bland, might have also been old)
Rename the “original” to “not hot, sweet”
Don’t be afriad to add heat to the local sauce

Unique New Mexico style BBQ with chile infused everything! They offer 6 different types of BBQ sauces that are blended with red chile, green chile, or mix of the two. Anything you get will be good but be sure to try all the sides that have chile in them. If you have to choose one, get the mac and cheese…trust me!

This was just ok, The home BBQ sauces were plain vinegar-based, at least the “hot” versions had some flavor. The meat was tasty but dry and the green chile cornbread didn’t have enough green chile in it. One bright spot is the Calabacita (Calabactia) Coleslaw was excellent! I wonder if I could bring home a quart?

Delicious! The meats were delicious but the sauces were wonderfully different! The chili barbecue sauces were incredible! You need to try them all! I really enjoyed the Chimayo red! The sides that we tried were divine especially the potato salad! Prices were reasonable. We had three people wait on us at different intervals. Not sure why? Didn’t know a lot about the beers but overall a good experience! Will return!

First time there, The owner came out from the kitchen to introduce himself and welcome us. I had the half order chopped brisket, it was good, and a lot, I took more then half home. The sauces are very unique to New Mexico, made with our red and green. I prefer the reds, none of them are too hot. We’ll go back, I would like to try the pulled pork and one of there beers on tap.

We were looking for something new to try and ran across this place. We actually enjoyed out visit.
Pros: 1. The staff was very nice, 2. Clean 3. Food quality was over all really good and the fusion of styles was pleasing to our palates.
Cons: 1. The prices are a little expensive for the amount of food, but not completely horrid. 2. The Cheesy/Chile bread tasted OK, but it just tasted like any roll
I will go back because I really liked the fusion tacos and they were very nice.

Stopped in to check out the place and grab a beer. While we were sitting at the bar the owner came out to chat with us and offered us samples of almost everything, along with their variety of NM style BBQ sauces (red and green chile based…. YUM). I haven’t stopped thinking about those ribs since. Everything was VERY good… Juicy and flavorful, the sauce was awesome. Definitely a fan of his “NM BBQ” fusion! He was friendly, enthusiastic, and definitely cares about his food (and knows his stuff!). Staff we encountered was courteous and professional. My only complaint, if you could call it that, is that the environment was a little conflicted… I think this place is still figuring out its niche… They promote sports (NFL ticket) and have a few TVs but, while sitting at the bars the TVs are overhead instead of behind the bar which makes it awkward to watch but the restaurant portion is more of a restaurant where you don’t feel conformable sitting for a whole game after ordering your food. I think the room itself could use a little development; personally I would love to see this place more divided between the bar (with TVs and maybe even… Sound!) and the restaurant to satisfy both types of customers BUT they’ve certainly got it right where it counts. They have locals on draft too which wins me over every time. This place is worth a visit. Get the ribs with the “locals only” red sauce. You’ll be hooked.

If you like Chile in your sauce, this is the place for you!
My husband ordered a hamburger. I ordered ribs, and they were plentiful. They smoke them in Apple wood, but there is no sauce. You add that at the table. They bring you several bottles to choose from.
The sauces were tasty, but I prefer a rich and tangy BBQ sauce so, for me this was not ideal. BUT, I think this is something that many New Mexicans can appreciate.

First time here today but won’t be the last! Incredibly tender meat, and I loved the sauces! Definitely not traditional barbecue sauce… better, in my opinion. Excellent service, good prices, and generous portions.
