We came here for dinner one night and left very impressed. They had really good chips and salsa which were freshly made and complimentary, of course. My lady said her shrimp tacos had A+ quality shrimp that could stand alone. My birria tacos were excellent. Flavors were pretty reserved in the beef and the consommé, but together they were perfect. The salsas were pretty good and not super hot. Beyond tacos, the menu has all the essentials and nothing too fancy. There’s a decent amount of sitting space inside and outside. Service was great. I couldn’t complain about this place if I tried!

Our first time at Mexicote in Hollywood. It’s a small, dine-in fast-food Mexican spot. We ordered the birra tacos, steak tacos, and Al Pastor tacos; a side of street corn and beans. Everything was flavorful, the most flavor being the steak tacos! We’re happy to have a good, real Mexican food spot in the neighborhood! (P.S. They serve breakfast!!)

Small, cute taco shop with a small bar seating area if you want. Tables are inside and outside. The foot was absolutely delicious. My friend had a burrito, and I had four tacos: steak, chicken, Al pastor and carne asada. I didn’t expect the portions to be large but it was definitely bigger than what you get sometimes at other taco places. The food was fresh, delicious and authentic. I didn’t even need the sauce to add flavor – the lime was enough. I am definitely coming back!

We started going to Mexiote when it was a food truck in Hollywood. We continued to go because the food is fresh and delicious, with reasonable prices. The portions are very large. I love the quesedillas. My husband enjoys the burritos. But everything we’ve tried is delicious.

This pains me to do this, but today was the last hair I will eat in my food from this place. I’ve been coming for years and years. Three hairs in 12 months is not just a once and a while. It’s a full blown issue. Love the staff, very friendly. Food is great, when there is no hair in it. Picture is a carnitas sope.

We eat at a local restaurant next door to Mexiote all the time and decided yesterday was THE day to try this little place out! I knew I’d be in heaven the minute I glanced over into the kitchen and saw a mound of chopped cilantro. YUM! The atmosphere is a bit no frills but that’s okay because what is there is cute and fun! The food was very good. I got a bowl with steak and my husband got the quesadilla with steak. Both were excellent and we will for sure be back(we LOVE Mexican food and it is not easy to find in SOFL, especially with authentic flavors and not Tex Mex). The only issue we had was a bit of a language barrier(we speak almost no Spanish) but it worked out okay…the menu is in English and easily understood.

I’ve grown up in Texas and California all my life, so I’ve eaten a lot of good Mexican food. All the cantina and taco trucks in Houston and LA. This place can definitely hang with any of them. The food here is amazing, the best definitely in south Florida. I highly recommend the burritos and street tacos. The service is always with a smile, two huge thumbs up

I stumbled upon this place on a quest for tacos and OMG it’s amazing!! The food taste fresh. Their guacamole is delicious and fresh. I got their carnita tacos. So good. Husband got the barilla tacos and said he loved the amout of meat they give.
