Fantastic bottle of Coke. It was the only thing they forgot to microwave but im glad theyre saving money only giving a half a glass of ice. They also put on a fantastic show. You could hear the chefs and the staff screaming the entire meal. What fun! And wow did our food come out fast. If you’re looking for a rustic restaurant that looks like the health department should have shut it down in the 1950’s, look no further. Perfect for the Halloween season, the lights even began to flicker throughout our meal every time the beep from the microwave in the back was turned on. The menus are duct taped together so your kids will love playing with them and they even have a disclaimer inside the menu saying they can change the price of anything on the menu when you go to pay. It’s a thrill to discover the amount the’re charging you after you eat. Plus, there’s a 3% fee for using a credit card. I can see why they charge the 3%…microwaves and the electric bill must be really expensive and this place really needs the help. In total, we got two meals and our bill was $60. It’s a shame so many people came to the front door, looked in, and ran away from the place when we were inside. I think they’re missing out on a truly unique experience.

The service is so rude it is unbelievable. It’s no wonder that there is no one ever eating there. They do do a takeout business. I remember when it was actually a nice restaurant in the valley if you like rubber chicken and someone demanding your credit card without saying thank you, or anything else this is a place for you

I only gave it three stars because although the service was good and the food was good I’m not happy with the 3% charge to my card they shouldn’t be accepting cards if they don’t want to pay the fee. I see that as their cost of doing business they already raised their rates on service due to inflation and what other costs they incurred.

Above average Chinese food, very clean establishment. Always have some doubts when trying new places, but this place did not disappoint.

Got the imperial beef and chicken with broccoli. Portions aren’t that big, but will definitely fill you up! Food very fresh! Would definitely make my new fav take out spot.

No heat in restaurant. Had to send rancid chow mein with inedible chicken back. Replacement just as bad and did not eat it. Offering no resolution miserable woman manager became very indignant so I just walked out. She came outside making a spectacle of herself screaming at me. Avoid by all means.

The hunan beef was out of this world, truly a delicacy. I was absolutely blown away by the friendliness of the staff and how helpful and attentive they were throughout my entire dining experience.

We visited Peking Chef on a Friday night around 6:30 p.m. There were two tables occupied, so there was plenty of seating. The tables were a bit sticky due to the disinfectant applied to the surface.

The egg drop soup was very good, as was the pork hot and sour soup. Other than that, the remaining meals were disappointing.

The General Tso’s chicken was tangy, yet lacked the pepper flavor associated with the dish. Also, there was hardly any chicken within the battered pieces. The side of pork fried rice had specks of pork mixed in, and the addition of corn overpowered the overall flavor.

The Pad Thai was also lackluster. Although it had all the necessary ingredients, the flavor was off, and didn’t really taste like Pad Thai.

It is very unlikely that we’ll return. It was obvious that corners were cut, and the meals had the taste and consistency of something you would buy in the frozen section of the supermarket.

Great vegetables. They don’t over cook them so they still have texture. The sauces are really good, especially the brown sauce.

One complaint, this is a restaurant and the ladies room is never open. It’s always out of order. I drive from Wilkes Barre (not a long drive but a drive) to enjoy their food and then after our meal, I have to go somewhere else to use the restroom. What’s with that? Are they too lazy to clean it, too poor to get it fixed. I always thought restaurants with seating were required to offer restrooms to their customers?

I have been coming to Peking Chef for a long time, but I haven’t been here for a while so I decided to come back. Sweet and Sour Pork is so good! The presentation of the food was magnificent. There is nice, friendly staff.
