Bakery that specializes in sourdough. Was nearby and it smelled so good I had to give them a try. Got two everything bagels and an espresso toffee cookie. The bagels were good with decent crisp but I couldn’t get the bagels to toast and really had to tug while chewing. They just stayed soft and overly chewy. The cookie was really soft but had a burned taste to it. I would definitely give them another try based on service alone.

A small cozy bakery. Six small tables inside, a few tables outside. The menu includes toasts and bagels. We had salmon toast, there were a lot of onions, but it’s not a problem. The coffee is dark roast, unfortunately. No cappuccino or other coffee drinks. The sourdough bread is, in my opinion, the best in the area. Unfortunately, there were no cinnamon rolls, which I dreamed of. I would also like to see soup on the menu (with their bread it would be great).

Expensive. The baked goods start at $5. The scone was really good. Focaccia was okay. Toast with jam was weird, didn’t know what flavor the jam was. Bread was amazing though you have to get the sourdough!!! The lady at the register wasn’t very friendly and kept talking to the other people in the middle of taking our order. We have never been and they didn’t really make a friendly first impression. Very good bread though.

In town visiting and found this place and boy am I happy! It is a small place so be prepared to take it to go if they’re busy. Also, sandwiches are made fresh and may take a minute but it’s worth it! Got a load of lemon rosemary sourdough, baguette, and focaccia to go. All are fantastic! Highly recommend this spot!

Night Work Breads transformed the Village of Ballston Spa and the bread is a weekly staple in our home. Our son has NWB toast for breakfast 5/7 mornings, I give loaves as gifts and recommend to everyone. Most of our guests end up returning every time they visit. It makes me sad to see any critique of the staff.. they are a multi talented multi tasking team and I consider them friends. Certainly they’re friendly! Bonus! They sponsor youth baseball in Abner Doubledays town. No complaints. All love for NIght Work Bread.

Very nice small bakery with a very friendly staff. The cinnamon buns are nice and light and are deliscious. Fresh bread daily with different varities to chose from. The olive bread is very good. Fresh coffee is also avaiable. They have some outdoor seating along with some indoor seating. Homemade cookies also avaiable.

Stopped here on our way back home for a quick bite and some goodies to take home as a recommendation from our Air bnb host and it did not disappoint. I got the egg salad on sourdough and my husband had the butter and jam and it was GREAT. We took home some scones, bagels and cinnamon buns – wish we could have taken the whole bakery!

Not so much a “sweets” bakery as a “savory” bakery.
I tend to seek out sweet pastries, cookies, and other baked goods on Fridays to celebrate making it another week. But sourdough has never been a type of bread that inspired sweet things to come to mind, far more mild, which is good for some but not what I really want.
However I like to give every bakery that opens a chance, so here we are.
First off, this is not an inexpensive bakery. For the four items I got I ended up spending over $30, when I could get a full box of goodies from a couple Italian bakeries in Clifton Park for as little as $18. So do not expect to walk away from here without opening the wallet a little wider than usual. I’m not sure if this is because of the niche process of baking only sourdough treats, or how much smaller scale it is compared to some larger scale operations. Whatever the case may be, it’s pricy.
Secondly, as mentioned, these are very mild in terms of their sweetness. No frosting, no glazes, and even the ones with a sugar crystal topping are spiced out of their mind. The others relied upon fruits and more natural sugars to make them sweet, the sweetest of them being the babka, but even then it was still a very light sweetness. The chai spice snickerdoodle was so spicy, the apple oatmeal cookie was soft but kind of light on the apple side, and the cranberry-apricot scone was very dry and only had a single apricot on top of it. Overall, I was left unimpressed.
I do consider it an accomplishment to have finally been here, since they changed their hours, it has been much more difficult to get a chance to visit after work. But Fridays are still till 5PM.

Awesome! As others have mentioned, it’s pricey, but that’s expected for the quality of a hand crafted product. TBH the high price dissuades me from overindulging and running out early! Really my only qualm are the hours. The most convenient days for me to stop in are weekdays but they are only open 8-3, hours I’m at work. It would be awesome if they stayed open to 5 or 6pm a couple days a week!!

A must stop for lovers of Sourdough breads and artesian breads in general. The inside is smallish and cramped and not ideal for dining, especially in cold weather when cold air is ushered inside each time a patron enters or exits.
