With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

6 months ago I went to this place and payed a dollar for an air cup. By air cup I mean the employee gave me an empty water cup when I asked for water. And charged me for it. After this I had a very enlightening experience recently when a wonderful employee proceeded to give me a bunch of chocolate beans. Therefore I take back my 1 star review and give you a 4.

We used to be regular Starbucks visitors, but those days are long gone since coming to the Human Bean. The service, quality, and prices for what you get can’t be beat. We absolutely love the bright energy drinks for a pick me up, the coffee is delicious, there are so many childrens options for our son – it’s just the best spot. And it’s supporting local which we LOVE. Human bean is simply the best around!

Today was my first day at the human bean and I met a very skilled and kind human being named Jake who was rocking the drive thru all by themselves. I didn’t even notice that they were running the whole shop till I pulled up. Great speedy friendly service went well with an extra yummy chocolate macadamia nut latte 🙂

It is definitely a good cup of coffee and I prefer it over the typical fast franchise. So far I have tried 4 different drinks they were all very good. My most current was the Chocolate Mac Latte-blended. I would recommend it!
