Welcoming staff, delicious food, very reasonable prices. The parking lot was packed with local license plates, so you know it’s good. We ordered liver and onions and mashed potatoes… It was like my Grandma made it! We also had onion rings and ranch. The young lady that took care of us, (Izzie!) explained they make their own mashed potatoes, salad dressings, many from scratch menu items. We took home the flan, (portions are generous.) and Wow! We left feeling like we just stopped over for a family meal and everyone brought their specialty dishes. Thanks Izzie’s!

Worth every penny. First time at Izzie’s, had breakfast. We initially thought to ourselves the prices were a little steep, but after seeing the large portions and tasting the meals, this place is easily worth every penny. Fantastic customer service (10/10), Aaron sets the gold standard for service. Quiet and enjoyable atmosphere (10/10). We ordered a pancake (7/10), would personally prefer it to be a little thinner, and with real maple syrup. The biscuits and gravy (7/10), although cooked perfectly with great texture, was lacking a little flavor, would recommend making it with bacon/sausage grease for more flavor. The chicken fried steak (9/10) was very good. Could have drained the oil a little bit more, and again, the gravy, but one of the best in town, for sure. Our eggs (10/10) were ordered over easy and scrambled, both were just perfect. Hash browns (6/10) were a little too thick and potatoey for me, should have ordered the tater tots. Overall I give Izzie’s a 9/10, probably my new favorite breakfast place.

Great food, tried for the first time today as my daughter took me out for Father’s Day. Friendly staff and great NY steak. Seasonal fruit was nice and juicy with sourdough or rye bread as alternate to white. Bottomless coffee and entertaining signs in the hallway/restroom

Absolutely excellent service and great food! You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in his business. He was running all over helping everybody, cleaning, serving and chatting with customers. It’s also super sweet that his daughter works there too and she was so sweet and professional! We loved the family vibe and supporting a small business. The owner also gave us free pie on our way out. Keep up the great work guys!

I had high hopes, but was a bit disappointed with some of the food.
Customer Service: an absolute 11 out of 10. Was very accommodating and let my husband order a pastrami sandwich on any bread he wanted. This was special because 1, a pastrami sandwich is not a regular menu item, but we had mentioned we saw it on their billboard a few days prior, and 2, it’s usually made on marble rye (husband not a fan of). But he said he’d make it for him and on any bread he chose. Awesome! Next, as we were leaving, I was looking at the desert box and the gentleman asked what I wanted, he’d give it to me. I was like wow, that’s so nice as it’s my birthday. He not only gave me the piece of pecan pie I chose, but also a piece of cherry pie for my husband. What a beautiful gesture.
The Food: Husband said the Pastrami was very good, just wished there was a bit more meat, his fries were good. He also took an order of gizzards to go and only half of them made it home. He was eating them on the drive and said they were excellent!
I had the chicken fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and broccoli. The meat tasted a bit oil drenched, I prefer a light delicate fry. The mashed potatoes were skin on red skin potatoes, they seemed more like left over mashed baked potatoes. The gravy was apparently sausage gravy as I found a few pieces of sausage in it (I’m used to just a country gravy on my chicken fried steak) and it was very heavy with not a lot of flavor, adding black pepper did bring out the flavor more. The broccoli was perfect – fresh and cooked just right, plus it came with butter on the side, nice addition!
The pecan pie was awesome and my husband said the cherry pie was very good.
So overall, we had a good experience. I do hope there are a few adjustments to the chicken fried steak, mashed and gravy. We will certainly be back as the customer service cannot be beat and I’m looking forward to trying some of their soups, and husband wants more gizzards for sure!

I can’t begin to describe the excellent service and wonderful food that one can enjoy at Izzie’s Diner! As soon as one walks inside the diner one is greeted by friendly staff. Once seated, you can sense the warm welcoming atmosphere and enjoy the decor that surrounds the establishment. When it comes to the food…DELICIOUS, FRESH, and WARM.
My personal favorite as of today is the Pastrami Sandwich . You can’t find any better Pastrami Sandwich in and around Yuma, or in the neighboring towns! And trust me, I’ve searched everywhere in and around the Yuma area, even Mexico, to find a good delicious Pastrami Sandwich.
The other great thing about Izzie’s Diner is that it is conveniently located just a short drive south of the 8 Freeway entrance.
Have a big party? No problem! There’s ample room inside the diner too, and that goes as well with Parking.
This place is a win win for both your tummy and just great food with great people!

When it comes to diners this restaurant is definitely a five star. The owner makes sure your service is first rate. I don’t believe our drinks barely got below 1/2 half before they were refilled. The food was very good and the portions were large. The staff kept themselves busy making sure the restaurant was clean. It is obvious takes pride in his establishment. We are looking forward to returning to taste their breakfast.
