When we arrived at home we dug right in and the food was fantastic. The pizza was cooked perfectly, as was the canzone! The Italian sub sandwich was very good, but I would have liked a little more red sauce. That’s just me and I will order it next time.
We will be ordering again.
If you are looking for quality Italian food at a very affordable price, order from Michaleno’s!
However, the second time I ordered their 16” Deluxe pizza, I was hooked! It was loaded with toppings, the thin crust was excellent and the premium mozzarella cheese was gooey, and not burned, like at a lot of other pizza places.
Since then, I’ve probably had five or six other pizzas and I’ve never been disappointed. I weighed my last 16” Deluxe pizza on my kitchen scale and it weighed a full 30 ounces, most of which consisted of cheese and six meat and vegetable toppings.
The pizza cost was $22.50 and it was well worth it. If you have any leftovers, scrape off the cheese and other toppings, and make a pizza omelet! Fast, simple, delicious and nutritious.
And when they say “20 minutes” they mean 20 minutes. I’ve yet to have had to wait for my order. They’ve always been fast and efficient.
Once you’re hooked like I am, you’ll want to get Michelano’s punch card – buy 10, get one free!
At first felt a bit sticker shocked. I wish I knew what the mozz sticks cost on their own because they were so so. Well cooked but I think they were made from frozen in a bag. I’d definitely pass on those next time.
On to the pizza…The meat lovers is absolutely loaded with meat. Good sauce. The crust was interesting, something in between a cracker crust and a tossed crust. Nicely done although I wish it was in the oven maybe a minute or two longer.
The guy who took my order and gave me my food was super friendly and no complaints there for sure.
I’m still unsure if it’s worth the value but they did well enough to make me want to try more items on the menu. I think the only reason I can’t give five stars is because of the value proposition.
1st the positives.
Very nice and pleasant younger man at the counter to deal with (reason for 2 stars) and the onion rings are breaded and thick cut.
2nd the bad parts.
The Onion Rings were both 70% crispy and 30% oily this usually happens in my experience when the oil is either not up to temp or is a bit older and needs to be changed soon. I ate these in my vehicle on the way home. So they were pretty much right out of the fryer and me eating them within 3 minutes. The fries where the same way, just not as hot as I waited to get home to eat them. (15min drive)
The worst part of this was the Italian Sausage patty sub. Most pizza or Italian places use the sausage from the pizzas to make this type of sandwich. This place uses a pre made frozen oblong shaped patty. Almost like a McRib but of very plain and bland tasting Italian Sausage. I have never tried the pizza and I will be giving this establishment another go at it from a pizza perspective. I hope they use real ground Italian Sausage on the pizza and not frozen sausage bits like the chain pizza places use. EX: Dominos, Pizza Hut, PaPa Johns etc….
