OMG! Delicious! I had the #13 Banh Mi and my husband had the beef and pork Pho. My pork on my sandwich was seasoned perfectly. Good umami! We also did the shrimp appetizer rolls.To drink, we had the Thai iced teas. Everything was so yummy! You can smell the food when you walk in. It’s clearly a small mom and pop restaurant and the authenticity is there. The young man serving us was on top of things. Even though he was the only server, he was fast and took care of everyone. Definitely recommend this place! Enjoy!

Tried La Ca 38th recently and was pleased with my meal. High quality preparation, presentation is more restaurant style than neighborhood cafe. Very tasty. Priced a bit higher than expected, but very chic restaurant with modern feel, plenty of seats and an outdoor patio with heat lamps. I like that there’s a bar there too. Cozy hang out, meeting or date spot.

I’ve been ordering here since they first opened and have regularly added the side of meatballs, usually every other order. Initially, the portion was two meatballs cut into quarters. However, the last two times I ordered it, I received what amounted to about three quarters of a single meatball and was told, “that’s how it comes.” They also added it to my side of broth without asking instead of keeping them separate.
Charging nearly $4 for less than one full meatball feels unreasonable, especially given the previous portions. I was also surprised to learn they’re simply taken from a freezer bag. Unfortunately, this feels like a decline in value and consistency. I’m disappointed and not sure I’ll be returning.

HIDDEN GEM This is the kinda place you kick yourself for not trying sooner! The restaurant itself has a house look from the outside which is unexpected but inside it is tastefully remodeled with an ambiance that puts it way above most Asian restaurants. Like true “go on a date” aesthetic.
The food is to die for!!! Had a couple of apps(grilled pork fresh rolls + shrimp and pork belly crispy rolls), and the grilled steak vermicelli and I’m salivating while writing this! The sweet and savory roasted peanut sauce served with the rolls was to die for. Everything was fresh and made to order. All of it was comparable to local Vietnamese restaurant pricing but way better.
I highly recommend this place and will frequent it myself!

The people that work here are absolutely fabulous and that may be an understatement, very personable, very welcoming in my opinion some of the best Vietnamese food that Washington state has to offer and they make a mean cocktail if you have not been here yet stop by here ASAP, you will not regret it top-notch five star service guaranteed every time!!!

We enjoy this place so much, wish we could make it out there every week! We’ve had beef pho, salmon spring rolls, mini rice cakes, the crepe, banh mi, vermicelli bowls, rice bowls, and great drinks. Excellent, attentive but unfussy service, clean and inviting space. Outdoor space, too!

Oh my god I think we’ve found our new favorite restaurant. This place is INCREDIBLE! Haven’t even gotten home from eating there and I needed to make a review.
First off, the atmosphere is so relaxing and for someone who easily gets overstimulated by loud restaurants, this was a huge plus. Instrumental jazz music was playing and they had lots of football games on! There’s also a patio which will be so nice on warmer days.
Second, the service was so so soooo good. The gentleman serving us was so kind and thoughtful and went above and beyond! He made great recommendations and our table had three people doing family style, and without asking he gave us both bowls and plates to use, AND cut the banh mi three ways! Such a gem.
And then there’s the food. We couldn’t even choose our favorite because everything was so flavorful and perfectly cooked it was really just whatever we were eating in the moment! We had numbers 11, 20, 22, and 26 with fried chicken. Highly recommend all of them but honestly I think everything is going to be good at this spot.
We will for sure be back and can’t wait to be regulars!

I recently ate at La Ca 38th last week, a Friday, for lunch. I ordered a Jinro green grape beverage, and their grilled quail w rice, while my fiance ordered a dry red wine, and a banh mi pork sandwich. The plates were immensely juicy, tender, and we were very satisfied with our meals, and our first time experiencing the new restaurant. I am happy to say that this place far exceeded my expectations as a first timer, and I don’t usually dine for Vietnamese cuisine. I will be coming back, no doubt, to try something new. The service was great, and food was fast to our table and tasted as if it took an hour to make!
