The Scottish muncher.
Just had a takeaway for the first time & really enjoyed it, we got the set meal for 2 at £28 & it was really good.
Starter
Poppadoms & spicy onions, the portion of spicy onions was quite poor, really small tub alongside a shattered bag of poppadoms, but the spicy onions were full of taste, but could have been doing with a slightly bigger tub.
Mixed pakora.
Both the chicken pakora & mushroom pakora tasted really nice, we got 2 dipping sauces what tasted really nice, really tasty with plenty of flavour, my only downfall would be,we only got 2 pieces of chicken.
Maine meals.
Chicken Chasni & chicken makhani.
Both beautiful dishes, full of taste & lovely bits of chicken.
Garlic Naan.
Lovely nann bread
Overall.
Was really impressed with my takeaway, it was delivered after only 20 minutes of phoning, I would definitely order again & the next time I’m going to hopefully get a sit in meal the next time.

Midweek Wednesday meal so the atmosphere wasn’t brilliant but that couldn’t be helped because it wasn’t busy! Overall the food was SO tasty and fresh!! And the staff were lovely and welcoming! Will definitely be back for the delicious food!!

This food was so delicious! Didn’t dine in but staff interaction was friendly, we all really enjoyed our food. My mother in law said it was the best butter chicken she’d ever had and I really appreciated the vegetarian options especially the Punjabi tofu tarka, it was so flavourful! Would highly recommend!

My wife and I have dined at the Kohinoor Restautant in Kilmarnock several times now and can highly recommend it. We always share a vegetable pakora as a starter and it is delicious. Main courses we have tried include biryani, chasni, dopiaza, bhoona and the house specialities. The curries are freshly made and are light and flavoursome. The naan bread is fresh and tasty too.
The staff are attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting.
Overall, this is a very welcome addition to Kilmarnock and we will definitely be back!
