Waited too long to go to Indian Spice!! Finally made it yesterday for their new $19.99 lunch buffet. My husband had never had Indian food before and was hesitant, but I was eager to share one of my favorite solo foods with him and the buffet was the perfect opportunity!

The restaurant is very clean, laid out very nicely with colorful areas with different types of seating (couches and tables). There is a full bar in the front that I would definitely like to try next time as they have many signature drinks on the menu that sounded delicious (Tito’s and lychee, yum!).

We were seated by a very friendly server and hostess, and the owner also materialized instantly asking what we would like to drink. The buffet had about 12 different serving platters. The first 2 were appetizers and the last one was a dessert, leaving about 9-10 of them as main dishes.

We started out with a fresh salad (4 different choices of dressings/toppings ranging from a cucumber type dressing to a plum taste, all delicious – I put a little of each on each side of salad to try) and an absolutely delicious hot & sour soup (we ended up purchasing some to go it was so good).

I do not remember all the names of all of the dishes, but will include my favorites in the pics. My husband had a lot of questions for the owner and our server and they were really helpful and knowledgeable about the origins of dishes, spices and their favorites as well. The owner shared that for the buffet they tone down the hot spicy levels a bit (definitely not the flavor though wow!! So good) so people can get a feeling for the foods and feel confident trying them. He also shared that every weekend the lineup of food changes.

My husband’s favorite was the steamed rice with pineapple lamb. He had 3 helpings. I really enjoyed the butter nan bread with slow cooked black lentils, butter chicken and one dish I forgot the name, but it had cottage cheese and tofu in a VERY flavorful sauce.

My 2 favorites names are listed below in the pictures. I also really enjoyed the spring rolls and dessert ‘dumpling’, which was like a very sweet honey ball, almost like a pancake ball about the size of a golf ball.

We are very excited to go back and try again, not just the buffet, but for a standard dinner or to try their appetizers and cocktails. There was also an extensive beer list. It was not too busy, but there was a steady stream of other customers throughout our time. Some staying longer than others, but all very happy and satisfied with the selection and service as I could see. Some eating solo and some families.

I highly recommend trying the buffet if you are curious about Indian food, there is something for everyone and you will not be disappointed.

I went to Indian Spice for the first time to pick up a takeout order. The restaurant is beautiful! Very warm, bright, and inviting! All of the staff were so nice as we waited for our order to be ready. The food was incredible! We got a variety of things: Calcutta pork ribs, butter naan, goat masala, and the corn & spinach Mac and cheese. I haven’t had a lot of Indian food—mostly because it’s a drive out of Sussex County to get Indian food—but now I love it!

It’s so nice to have an Indian restaurant in this area. I’ve eaten here on multiple occasions and never been disappointed. I especially liked the Saturday and Sunday buffet. They vary the choices so that one can experience different foods from week to week. The bar is well stocked with the usual liqueur and they also have a nice selection of wine and beers. Many of the wines can be purchased as a split and they have a number of Indian beers. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wow! What an exceptional experience and meal. Never having gone to an Indian Restaurant, our waiter was very kind and guided our choices. The Samosa was very tasty, especially when the two dipping sauces were combined. Our entree was — Dum Ka Murgh with a Naan stuffed with potato and peas. The most delicious food, I could not finish my meal, although I really wanted to, and had to bring some home, it was just as good for lunch the next day!
The restaurant itself is beautiful. The wine list and cocktail choices are varried and there is something for everyone! So glad to have dined here. We will be back!

OK, this is my first time eating Indian food, so I’m not an expert on what it should taste like, but I can tell you it was delicious. We had mango shrimp, salmon tikka masala, mozzarella naan, and some sort of jumbo shrimp meal. All delicious! Bartender mixes a good drink and wait staff is super friendly.

I went there with my 3 boys. One who is a huge fan of the food. Another just getting into it and a third who lightly treads. The buffet was fresh. Tastefully planned and had many options. We were able to get in, eat and get out in a reasonable amount of time. Very good job. So happy we have a reasonably priced resteraunt near our house.
